You can use whatever clamps you desire. I use the ADJ Junior Clamps.

Question.did you have to program them. Channel and address to beat match from your dmx controller. I just pick up a SoundSwitch,, Issues

Yes. I dmx'ed them from my dmx controller and now I am dmxing them from Soundswitch and my Control One. With SS, the preprogrammed auto loops automatically sync them to the music. When I want to trigger an automated program from them, I use the Attribute Cues in SS.
