lotta people sleep on this class because you can negate mana cost with gear, but its important to keep in mind that this means you deliberately force yourself to use specific sets in order to be able to get away with sacrificing 1 or 2 points at the leyline and still be a mage. The true value of the mana regen unlock is in freeing yourself from that paradigm and opening up gear options tremendously. I think the biggest flaw in the tree is Ice Sigil and its a shame because the spells are really nice, but their cooldowns are so high compared to Fire Sigil and Wind Sigil that can use Spark. Sigil of Blood has a similar issue, but at least with blood turret, you have constant damage anyway. Chakram dance is in a similar position. 120 second cooldown is very high compared to many other weapon skills. Its a great skill, but that cooldown means you can't use it very often without committing to a Cooldown reduction build.
