Limerence, you don't even have to be in contact with the person. You can be in full fantasy mode and not even getting play from the guy but you build a whole fantasy around the person that has little to do with the actual person you are projecting your emotional fulfillment fantasies on

@Nipponsuki I didn't particularly do anything...but once upon a time I was on a "Twin Flame Journey"🙄😮‍💨 and then one day, the Almighty Algorithm put a video about limerence in my feed. I had no clue as to what that even was...but after watching the video, my brain did an instantaneous 180 reset. And boy am I grateful! That piece of dust was NOT worth all that.😌

I thought limerence was about day dreaming and obsessing about a person? For example imagining your wedding day with a guy you’ve only been dating for 1 week and creating a bunch of romantic scenarios in your head that hasn’t happened? Some people do this and practically live in their own heads hyping themselves up about a man that hasn’t even committed to them.

I'm not sure if limerence is always sexual. (I watch Crappy Childhood Fairy on YT) The sources of limerence, in my opinion, are, loneliness/isolation, not being shown enough affection in childhood, so things like childhood neglect or abuse, and being emotionally stunted. Our childhood primed us for the worst things which make up limerence such as the erotization of rejection and difficulty perceiving when situations are bad. Abandonment was our parent's love language. edit: Okay, I just found a video talking abt it. No, limerence doesn't have to be s*xual. It has to do with having an intense need to be loved, seen and feel connected. It can often become sexual, especially when the person uses s*x to escape or feel more connected (imo).

limerence is a trauma response. It’s usually something that can only happen to someone who has not been loved properly, I used to experience it as well. It’s a really horrible feeling like being possessed with the obsession of someone who you can never have. It’s bad. The last time I had it it was awful.
