Check Your Bougies!

Not all tracheal introducers are made equal!
You need to know how to direct your bougie to where it needs to go.
Different makes of bougie have different handling characteristics.
I strongly recommend you check what types of bougie you have in your service and practice using them in simulation.

You should see the pocket bougie that has been forced upon paramedics in my area!

Keep using the bougie you have routinely to be familiar with.
