Two months focused study, 16/30 . What im getting is that i need to up my Vocabulary, big time ! I think i got a decent amount of the questions right through grammar but i just didnt know what a bunch of the words meant lol!

I’m at 22 after 270 days on there but also; have a grammar book, beginner book with Russian short stories, listening to podcasts, and watching movies and cartoons. Of course I don’t understand them but I suspect you pick up on certain cadences and know how words sound before your vocab catches up. Duo lingo is a tool but alone it doesn’t explain what the hell is going on.

The result is not bad, well done! Personal opinion - I think Duolingo is not the way to learn a foreign language, of course if you want to learn it properly.

@@levelupyourrussian Yeah, people should just consider Duolingo as a friend to expand their vocabulary database. I personnaly use it this way for vocabulary, about memorizing verbs, i use LENGO for their great flashcards with drawings. And for real learning, online courses along with some YT tips lessons.

Is it a test to go A1 (so an A2 validation), or is it a test to know if we can begin B2 russian part ?

I think it's like test your A1 level. Like you need to get at least more than 25(?) to know you're A2! Because A1 and A2 are different.

The test is very biased on grammar. In most cases the most important thing is the level of comprehension. A foreigner making lots of grammar mistakes normal , and not very important because native speakers still understand the message. But a learner that has excellent grammar but no vocab and bad oral comprehension can score 28/30 here and still be useless in Russian.
