Crystal, when hanging decor take some masking tape put it on the back of your decor where your brackets are. Poke a hole where they are, then take the tape off and put it on the wall, make a nail hole. Then take the tape down and hang your picture. Hope it helps, it works every time.

About trends...following them can make one crazy. It's never enough! 😅 Follow what ever your heart desires, in the end it will be fine. Find your own style and hold on to it and add some "trendy" stuff, if you like. Watching a bunch of decoratings on other videos it often seems to be similar. That's unfortunate. You know (as a viewer) where things are coming from because everyone has the same on their shelfes and tables. However, Crystal. You own a good taste and I can very well understand that decorating a new home might be pretty challenging. Thanks for sharing and it was nice too see Charlie smiling on his daily walks with "Mom" 🐾🌞💖

Love how you're making you new home your own. Just a suggestion, I know a good sweep of porches is great, but I have also used the leaf blower. If it is just dry dirt blowing all over, the blower does a great job and is so much faster than sweeping. Of course, it a good sweep every so often is great too.

My thoughts exactly. I never was much of a Target customer but now I I will definitely not. Target has never cared for our Veterans and it seems that they don’t care for our kids either. If you are a Christian you have to take a stand somewhere. It’s ashamed that is has come to this in our country.

Like you, my "style" is evolving but still love the coastal trend. No matter what you do, it will be beautiful. Looking forward to seeing all the new painted rooms, hutch, rug, deck furniture, etc. So very exciting!

You are getting there, my friend. Everything looks beautiful, I love the mirror above the piano. I was so done with all of the dirt and mess when we finished our house that I couldn't wait for grass to grow so we bit the bullet and sodded the whole yard, up to the hill. It's over an acre but I needed that instant gratification and dirt to be gone, lol. You will enjoy that beautiful deck for sure! Looking forward to future videos as your schedule allows, have a wonderful, fun and safe summer with your beautiful family! ❤️

We live in the country with farm ground across the road & to the West of us ...looks like corn coming up this year! They rotate corn & soy beans, but it all grows in DIRT, so l have tons of dust daily. Said all that to suggest you "sweep" your front porch (& sidewalks/decks) with your leaf blower! I do mine almost every evening in spring/summer...much easier than a broom!!! Happy Wednesday! (KAWAI is a great brand, by the way...pianos not leaf blowers!😂)

Love your new place and everything. I would not put the painting on the piano though because you are leaning a painting against a mirror which looks odd and too much. I would use a black runner on the piano and just put the vase and the candle holders ( in a different arrangement) on the piano. Love the mirror and vase.

Hi Crystal, we just put a rug in our eat in kitchen area and found that our chairs did not slide well on it, I don’t know if you have that issue or not. My husband went on Amazon and got sliders to stick to the bottom of our chairs and wow!what a difference. I just thought I would share.

Things are really coming together. I was curious whether you might be doing a water feature i.e. a tiny pond with water over the rocks. ( Your boulders made me think of it) Just curious. Instead of sweeping it get a cheap leaf blower. I do that for my concrete patio and it’s much faster and works better.

Crystal I love the mirror for sure above the piano, I agree the piano looks good there and with a view like you have your husband can enjoy the fruits of your labor. In the hall from the garage a mirror would look good so you can have one last check on your appearance before you leave. Hooray for the addition of coastal! Im biased as my house is mostly all coastal & let me tell you it feels so fresh & bright. Absolutely cant wait to see you get to put together your back porch. Here in jersey we do planted palms in containers on our porchs & ferns every summer. Its so nice to watch them blow in the breeze (although they don’t make it thru winter ) I cant resist adding the green & other colors every year. The piano is stunning!!

I wouldn't worry about following the trends. Do what you love, who knows I really never follow trends. I have my own eclict decor. Some antique some French country & a little of just plain to achieve some kind of balance. Every time I try to put my antique pieces away I'm just sad. Because I selected them slowly until I found pieces I really loved. There are many different styles I love. It's really hard to decide. The piano is stunning & mirror is perfect along with all the pieces you chose! I bet the kids can hardly wait until the deck is on for them some outdoor time. Its great you also have concrete places for them to play until the landscaping is done. Fresh dirt turned is so dusty, dirty & muddy at times. I was really happy to see you today, always love what you are doing, no matter what it is!

Love that you are starting to decorate your home. Love the new piano. Love it in the dining room area and especially loved the mirror reflecting light from the window. Sadly the print and pot distracted that for me. I had a piano in our dining area growing up with a window like yours. We had a mirror and on top of the piano was the metronome! Nothing else. Lol well occasionally sheet music or lesson books. Love the prints in the hallway and I also bought the far house print and LOVE it. Wish I had bought both of them. Anxious to see more decorating but enjoy this time with your kids too.
