Doppelmayr are absolute madlads. If you asked them to build a gondola cabin with a sound system, lasers and strobes, they would very likely do it. Haven't seen an L-shaped D-Line terminal before, though, as well as 8-packs without bubbles. I prefer bubble-less chairs, though. Sweet lift !

Amazing lift and the smoothest detachable I’ve ever ridden.

Ended up on a chair with you that day and can’t forget hearing you say “ I still prefer my fixed grips” was nice meeting you for sure.

It was such a great day, and while I love my old fixed grips this thing was amazing. We are still geeking out over it.

2:35 I could listen to that whoosh sound of the chairs for hours. The humming of the motors too.

Wasn’t expecting to see you that day as I was working sundance (4 pack fixed grip with the loading carpet) but glad I got to say hi. I’m glad you had a great day

Oh nice. If you recall, I asked if you did detachable work, and here you are looking at the coolest chair I’ve seen in a while

It was an amazing experience and I’m now tempted to work on my A ticket (detachable)

Not only an 8 pack, but it has heated seats too?! A friend of mine and I talked about making something years ago for heated seats on a lift and I was literally just talking to someone today about it. Always wondered why more lifts don't have them. Awesome to see someone finally do it!

Do the chairs park in the stations? seems like the L shaped bottom station has more room for chairs
@patricksmotors90708 ай бұрын
It does and all chairs can be parked in the upper and lower stations. It’s a remarkable machine.

@@patricksmotors9070 yeah its such a simple idea yet you need to have enough control devices (clutches or electric drives on wheels) and a flexible enough control system to program the functionality in. would be interesting to see some numbers on how tha price compares to a separate garage with simpler controls. atleast where space is limited this is a big win.

Why is that station in the L form? embarking from a side is possible without a L shape.
@patricksmotors90708 ай бұрын
Due to the location of the lift it was better to offer a side load setup so that terminal was selected.

@@patricksmotors9070 Do you know if this solution was implemented elsewhere?

I believe it has been done with gondolas but not sure about other chairs.

I read a comment on liftblog from Everett Kircher who said that the L terminal is required to achieve the very high people per hour capacity of this lift. If they had used a traditional straight terminal with contour loading the timing to load between chairs would have been too short for skiers and would cause misloads. So it was basically a decision of less capacity or get the L terminal.
