The discontinued stuff is not as cut and dry as some might think. I asked Thomann (Germany) for an ESP guitar and they told me that it was discontinued. But the Japanese homepage had the guitar still listed as available. In the end, I was able to import the guitar from Japan and cheaper as well.

In 8:22 you can clearly see that the scallop starts at 20th fret but ESP claims that the scallop is from 19th fret onwards. My LTD Ripped is the same. Am I the only one getting confused on this or is the 19th fret really is scalloped but not as scalloped as the other frets? Coz I can’t see any scalloping on 19th fret of my guitar

I loved the full demo lol. I got to try the Ltd version of this guitar and was a bit surprised with the pickups lol. They sound kind of dry which is good for several applications. The neck pickup was surprisingly versatile. Oh btw do a video on how you got the sound

Very cool model! My guess is that they're only discontinuing it because they're going to transition the Ripped/Hexed models into Edwards versions because those are the only ones that aren't being offered by Edwards unlike all his other models.

If the Edwards were fully made in Japan, they'd surely have the "made in japan" sticker, no? None of the Edwards alexis have any sort of MIJ markings on them.

Edwards and E-II both come from the same ESP factory in China and then it's finished, assembled, and QC'd in Japan. This is why I will always buy Edwards over E-II. The quality is practically the same but Edwards are always much cheaper and it has a cool logo vs the dumb E-II name.

@@Unchainedmaple888 You have false info. The E-II line is built from start to finish in Tokyo, Japan.
@Unchainedmaple8885 күн бұрын
@@laegunum There are pictures with Edwards, E-II, and the old ESP Standard Series side by side on the same racks in the Chinese ESP factory. This has always been the way ESP production guitars that aren't Custom Shop made have been produced. There's no way ESP can possibly make everything from scratch in Japan with only 100 staff if not less. ESP can easily disprove this by showing us E-II being made from start to finish in their Japanese factory. Even employees at Big Boss, the ESP owned guitar shop chain, have confirmed to me that E-II are essentially made exactly the same way as Edwards.
