Hahaha yes the prices will go up. Some of us have 50k race engines. When my two examples are done they will be 100k cars. You only see incomplete jdm examples. It's impossible to restore one to original unless you have a time machine. Even Carland uses fake decals and other reproduction parts. I've never seen a 100% original jdm example go for sale in a decade. For those of you saying they used to be cheap bullshit. You could buy an Aussie sprinter for 500 dollars when I bought my GT-APEX. I paid 10k aud for my GT-APEX when you could buy Skylines for 3k. The japnese have always known its a D1 giant killer and N2 exists. TRD wouldn't have made a 10k kit and 50k engine in the 80s for the car if it was garbage. They didn't do this for evey car they released. The ae86 has the same chassis as the TA22 R type 1600GT that won the 1972 Nippon Grand Prix also placing 2nd with Corolla 3rd on its debut. Kids saying it's just a corolla when corolla is a GTR killer is just stupid. Americans don't understand the Celica and Corolla are a Japanese version of the Holden Torana. The ae86 has the same Livery as an SLR 5000. The car is gambred. Stop downplaying the car because local non jdm examples used to be cheap in your country. Also, expect heavy tariffs for petrol cars imported from Japan and taxes to drive them in future.
