Wherever the individual saxophone sound and the section sound must be controlled. LOTS of classical works are transcribed for the saxophone. Plus, all bands that play mixed big band, classical and the popular repertoire, are better off with this narrower, neutral, but rich and consistent mouthpiece, than with a mouthpiece suited for jazz players, funk, rock and jazz soloists.
