In the '70s, almost all you could get was Mexican or Columbian. The mex much more available. It was always from highly compressed bricks. What you bought was always hard clumps of mostly stems, seeds & leaves, "glued" together with mold. It was a relatively weak high...frequently accompanied by a headache from smoking all that woody fiber. Columbian ("gold") was a better strain & much better high... partially because it was cured well (loose). However, some stems & seeds were still there. Very, very rarely did we score premium, manicured "sensemilla" bud back then. Somehow, I scored a bud of supposed "maui wowee" that made my pupils dilate completely (no color left). Kinda freaked me out for a sec, but the high was one of the best ever.

The farmers would pour Coke over the mixture of stems, sticks, seeds, dirt and buds while it was being pressed into bricks. The sugar in the soda bonded everything together like glue. The mold was the result of the soda. Terrible smoke even by 70's standards, but it was cheap and easy to get.😀

I love you guys….always did. I’m approaching my late 60s…retired military and retired federal wildlife law enforcement. I’ve put myself through hell at times (not actually always by my own choosing)…and both mentally and physically--I’m paying for it now. Don’t get me wrong….it was one helluva ride. But now (and it’s legal here in Massachusetts), I’ve tried various products to alleviate pain, etc etc etc. It just seems to kick my “six o’clock” too damned hard! Tried it once when I was about 17-18 bad experience, never again. But I love these guys watched the movies when i was about 8-12 and they always made me laugh even if I didn't get the jokes at the time, I do now though lol. Not anti weed or anything because I know about all the good it can do for some people since I have a friend who smokes to battle his depression and it's usually noticeable when he's not high because he seems more unmotivated, I try to keep him motivated when he doesn't have weed if at all possible we usually chill and play video games crack jokes and shit. All in all he gets by, plus we got 5 other friends we all talk to on the daily and we've known each other since middle school so we're all relatively close.
