Turns out the people behind this modpack & running the discord are absolutely disgusting. I considered simply taking down the video, but decided that using it for a Ukraine Fundraiser and donating all the ad revenue of the video on top of it to Nova Ukraine was a more... fitting way to tackle the issue. You guys are obviously free to do whatever you want, but I personally won’t recommend playing this modpack anymore. I removed all the links to download & to the discord from the video description. We have an incredibly prolific modding community, It’s not like we’re running out of amazing projects to play. There’s no need to promote something with that kind of... baggage, to put it lightly. EDIT #1: I just started playing HayZee's Modpack, haven't tested it extensively yet but it looks like a decent alternative to custom, without the drama. One day people will learn to ignore politics while playing games. Devs of this modpack don't use any propaganda in this modpack. Modpack itself is very decent and fun to play. You can download it from forums and get all help there. I know that, obviously, most europeans and americans can't ignore politics and just play games, but I assure you, this modpack can easily be played without any context.

Devs don't force such discussions, but ofc if you'll start it, then you'll have to stand for your words regarding their rules. If they want to ban people for being ukrainian, it's their wish. I've been on servers where people were getting banned for just being straight.

Secondly, this made me want to play it even more since i am Hungarian and Ukraine is horribly mistreating their Hungarian minority, and Ukrainian nationalists regularly threaten us with violence, and occasionally even carry out terrorist acts. Just installed, it was pretty easy to set up. Man, I loved the visuals and ambience, it is much better than I expected. The performance is quite good also, considering it has reshade enabled by default.

Hey Cheeki, I was hoping to ask, cause you’re pretty much the only person out there I’d trust to give a proper tear down. What is the difference between Anomaly Custom and HayZees HACR? I honestly can’t find anything comparing the two (the only thing stated was anti-Ukrainian stuff from one of them - which isn’t enough information to make any kind of decision on grabbing a new time sink.) Yeah, I love your videos, I adore your content, so I’m really hoping you can save me here and break things down, or at least point me in some kinda right direction Of course, I’m happy to hear from anyone else commenting on my post that can help with information - really any info would be mad appreciated. HACR adds a lot more on top of that. HACR has 550 Mods atm i think? Its running not nearly as stable or flawless as Gamma for example (strictly speaking performancewise) The Game will Blackscreen and stutter from me merely opening the ESC Menu. Which is kinda insane. You don't even know if your Game is crashing or if its just 1 fps. Some people also like to say that in the HACR modpack everything gets added on the go. As in "oh its new? I'll add it." Kinda not even having a certain Overall "Goal" of what its actually supposed to be. Anomaly Custom wants to be a big Graphic Overhaul Mod. Grok's Gamma is his Vision/Version of the Zone, how he thinks it makes sense. And so on. Hope that somehow cleared maybe a bit of it?

@ some of it sure - the main reason I’ve been messing with Gamma over Anomaly is the fact that… well, I’ve been struggling to get a lot of the extra addons working by myself (things like SSS and other big name mods) So I’ve currently been playing more Gamma than really anything else, Custom has looked really up my alley, but from what I can see HACR looks like a bit of an upgrade again compared to standard custom. I’m honestly not sure what to play these days, I can’t handle Stalker 2 just now (tbh, I can hardly handle Gamma / Anomaly Custom (I tried it for a couple mins to see if it was at least playable a wee while back)) I had a bit of fun with True Stalker, and I played through SoC and Clear Sky back when they released (Never finished CoP, I might be willing to give it another shot, but I’d be more interested in playing a modded version than trying the old school vanilla game again) Yeah, I’m really not sure where to sink my time just now, however much I like what HACR looks like, that’s not a shining review you’ve given it (crashwise and the like) and it sounds like I should maybe just keep playing Gamma. My choices are basically whatever Stalker title I can land on, or to sink back into endless ARMA3. Thanks for the reply though! It’s certainly more information than I had originally! Here’s a random question, do you know of a good… tutorial, video or whatever about Gammas crafting? It seems a large part of the game that has me truly perplexed thus far xD

No you can't unfortunately, just thinking about the mess it would be merging these two is giving me a headache ahahh Edit: I think I misunderstood your question. If you're talking about simply having both modpack installed and played independently of each others then yes, it's perfectly fine. If you want to merge GAMMA and Custom together, into a single modpack, that's where I'm saying no way. Hope it helps!

Not really the narrative is "we shouldn't expect stalker 2 to be like the big mod packs" ie way less content to do. Someone who played a demo and talked about it on reddit said he couldn't even get mutant parts off corpses in the demo. Hopefully the story that's being crafted is really excellent because the game seems pretty linear in AAA game fashion

Man it pisses me off how propaganda and politics made russians and ukrainians hate each other so much. As with every war everyday people have little to say, and i feel like any potential for russians building some kind of ressistance against the war in ukraine, was lost with anti russian sentiment around the world. Banning them from everything and so on - that's like trying hard to make them die hard Putin supporters, simply becase they have very little to actually say. Just like in most countries, when people dislike government it's very hard to actually change something. Now add to that openly tyranical policies against russians from Putin (like throwing people to prison for saying the wrong thing), and any form of resistance becomes that much harder. Instead we should put blame on government and people in clear support of it, while trying to reach out to russian people, and helping them get rid of their "tzar". But my point is also that sadly it's expected that russians will behave like the mod devs, that's just the nature of people. Think about american soldiers fighting in Iraq and other middle eastern countries - their distain for arabs seems almost hypocritical, seeing how overwhelmingly more powerfull their army is (and that they were the agressors), but it's actually understandable if you know how people behave.

Got into their discord, and the first thing I see is a message from the devs, saying that "It is forbidden to show any manifestations of support for Ukraine and the Kiev regime". Server is filled with ethnic slurs and being ukrainian is enough of a reason to get banned. Really unfortunate that the devs are this way, lost all desire to play this modpack

I suggest you play the games from the trilogy this game is very hard and stalker 2 is going to be much easier like the trilogy I think this is also good because you can learn the story a little but at the end of the day its up to you you can play this if you want but I just recommend playing the trilogy for a first experience

Since you're looking at the comment section, I would like to recommend you Improved Weapon Pack (IWP) for Call of Chernobyl (CoC). You might be interest in this mod because ut boils down to Gunslinger but for CoC.

Try the new quests (almost every important character in every faction has them) they are really good and different from the usual “give it, bring it.” For example, southern merchants (Sidorovich, Bartender, Kholod) give horror quests, and Lukash generally gives the task to shoot down a helicopter.

When I use the aim mode of any weapon, the distant background becomes blurred without rendering. Could someone help me? Is there a wrong configuration? I installed upadet and everything and everything is fine. This is the only problem, I fixed at 60 fps and run smooth

3060 / i7 /16gb RAM (laptop) Yeah a 1650 might be pushing it a bit, but I played GAMMA for a long time on my 1650 Ti so everything's possible xD

Honestly just knowing STALKER 2 is being worked on is enough for me. I hope they take all the time they NEED to not pull what most companies are doing nowadays and just selling an unfinished product for full price and then asking for the community (that is now pissed off) to continue to play their game and bug test it and suggest how to make it better FOR THEM.

I have an laptop with dual channel 8gb ram(soldered so cant upgrade), i5 1135g7 cpu and iris xe graphics.will this game work with at least 30+ fps? I played rdr2 on this laptop with 1360x768 resolution, normal textures, fsr ultra, decals and fur quality high and everything else low. Got about 34 fps.

Thank you! I’ve been turned off by Gamma, which while good, didn’t look *great* without some speed issues, and much more importantly had such a *slow* skill pacing that I grew frustrated, I know it can be modded by Gamma fans consider this heresy, so there are no guides to say, remove the economy and give more a default growth curve with the addition of the cool detailed mechanics and difficulty. Which… this looks like it may be. I’ve long been looking for an Anomaly mod that does exactly what this one appears to - upgrades the graphics, adds in all the small QoL improvements packaged with, say, Gamma, and gives me a good experience! The immersion and… feeling is the most important part of Anomaly to me, including the pitch black darkness!
