Turns out the people behind this modpack & running the discord are absolutely disgusting. I considered simply taking down the video, but decided that using it for a Ukraine Fundraiser and donating all the ad revenue of the video on top of it to Nova Ukraine was a more... fitting way to tackle the issue. You guys are obviously free to do whatever you want, but I personally won’t recommend playing this modpack anymore. I removed all the links to download & to the discord from the video description. We have an incredibly prolific modding community, It’s not like we’re running out of amazing projects to play. There’s no need to promote something with that kind of... baggage, to put it lightly. EDIT #1: I just started playing HayZee's Modpack, haven't tested it extensively yet but it looks like a decent alternative to custom, without the drama. Just installed, it was pretty easy to set up. Man, I loved the visuals and ambience, it is much better than I expected. The performance is quite good also, considering it has reshade enabled by default.

Thank you! I’ve been turned off by Gamma, which while good, didn’t look *great* without some speed issues, and much more importantly had such a *slow* skill pacing that I grew frustrated, I know it can be modded by Gamma fans consider this heresy, so there are no guides to say, remove the economy and give more a default growth curve with the addition of the cool detailed mechanics and difficulty. Which… this looks like it may be. I’ve long been looking for an Anomaly mod that does exactly what this one appears to - upgrades the graphics, adds in all the small QoL improvements packaged with, say, Gamma, and gives me a good experience! The immersion and… feeling is the most important part of Anomaly to me, including the pitch black darkness!

Try the new quests (almost every important character in every faction has them) they are really good and different from the usual “give it, bring it.” For example, southern merchants (Sidorovich, Bartender, Kholod) give horror quests, and Lukash generally gives the task to shoot down a helicopter.

I find it too hard! I even used debug to try better armor and guns, and got destroyed regardless... how do I dial down NPC guns/accuracy? My "protection" is set on great. I really enjoyed GAMMA as it didnt feel every NPC was a deadshot nor I had to play the game like Rainbow Six 1

@@markoramius84 I'm still a worn armor wearing hobo with a SPAS and a pistol and liking it so far on medium. I'm not sure if this goes for Stalker AI but it seems to work is: they are less accurate when you're facing away from them and you can sprint to cover. AI accuracy can be tweaked while ingame: "setting/gameplay difficulty" but I never touch those. Also in this version your binoculars can detectt targets, very handy for scouting ahead use it often if you get jumped on a lot, I do by dogs lol.

Stutters is not Anomaly's problem, its the whole XRay's problem and you barelly can fix it, especially when u have like 500+ mods active. Cmon, the engine is like 20+ years old, don't expect it to run smooth

Grok has done an amazing job with GAMMA and I barely have stutters anymore there, so I guess it's somewhat possible, but yeah this is a very hard issue to completely fix without a lot of compromises.

this game with lossless frame generation (LFG) is next level. if you can turn off any in game or nvidia fps cap and use rivatuner to cap at like 30fps or 45fps, LFG will double or triple your frames with magic

I suggest you play the games from the trilogy this game is very hard and stalker 2 is going to be much easier like the trilogy I think this is also good because you can learn the story a little but at the end of the day its up to you you can play this if you want but I just recommend playing the trilogy for a first experience

No you can't unfortunately, just thinking about the mess it would be merging these two is giving me a headache ahahh Edit: I think I misunderstood your question. If you're talking about simply having both modpack installed and played independently of each others then yes, it's perfectly fine. If you want to merge GAMMA and Custom together, into a single modpack, that's where I'm saying no way. Hope it helps!

Not really the narrative is "we shouldn't expect stalker 2 to be like the big mod packs" ie way less content to do. Someone who played a demo and talked about it on reddit said he couldn't even get mutant parts off corpses in the demo. Hopefully the story that's being crafted is really excellent because the game seems pretty linear in AAA game fashion

Got into their discord, and the first thing I see is a message from the devs, saying that "It is forbidden to show any manifestations of support for Ukraine and the Kiev regime". Stalker and Doom seem to be the 2 games with engines that are highly modifiable and won't ever die, the modders just keep making the games better and better. Doom is over 30 years old, Stalker doesn't have that yet but it's been a long ass time and both will be eternal....no pun intended for Doom...and I'm talking about the OG Doom, not the reboots.

The point of this modpack is to get all the QoL and such of gamma without some of the "disliked" features (yet that add stuff like mutant parts giving rads, fun...) so I'm not surprised they didn't add BHS or Mags. People who don't like gamma usually feel strongly about those two things in stalker

Stutters in stalker is due to old engine doesn't have support for multithreading, so it runs on a single core.

3060 / i7 /16gb RAM (laptop) Yeah a 1650 might be pushing it a bit, but I played GAMMA for a long time on my 1650 Ti so everything's possible xD

Im actually playing Gamma with an 1660 super and a R5 3400g with lossless scalling and works fine, Give it a try!

As much as I love finding new STALKER mods, I wish there where packs of just gameplay changes - loved playing GAMMA then I updated it and now it won't work anymore because of graphics mods.
