the difference between Brandon and Smoed is that when Smoed mess up, they recover so well and keep on fighting and don't let their anger or disappointment show, whereas with Brandon once they messed up you could see straight away the whole team just fuck this and began to give up.

the whole dance looked so depressing. even tho you did have falls and stuff you still want to Finnish it off like you hit a perfect flawless routine due to the fact that, that is points too that goes to your score.

What upsets me most about Brandon this year as in the one shown on the video is. 1. They completely gave up, after those two stunts. You see some of them almost in tears and the bases on Alyssa's side of the pyramid not even trying. 2. They blamed Mattie (The girl who does the point one man) for their lost this year & they still hate her for it. There were so many more mistakes than the ones she made. The whole team has some. I'm not saying I hate Brandon or anything. But I have never been able to completely like them because of it. I'm not going to hate a whole gym because of one team. But from I saw some of them say my respect level is very low now.

The reason smoed won, in my opinion, because despite the falls and bobbles that smoed had, they still preformed their asses off and gave the performance their all where as Brandon handled it very poorly in their motions and routine, and the facial expressions.

I do know what I'm talking about, and saying that they are at worlds should make them try harder than they ever have. my team just went to cheersport, and on the 1st day our pyramid started to fall. Even with fast counts and we were tired af, we still made it work. It is easy to fix if you try. shut the fuck up, because you either don't know what you're talking about or your team doesn't try at all like brandon.

i really do admire them, after their stunts fell, pyramid failed, they still danced their heart out. Cheerleading really does challenge the mental strength of the athletes. Just shows how strong mentally they are to finish the routine, so proud of you Brandon. No matter what place, we will still LOVE YOU!! :)

They came back way harder this year for worlds. The top two this year are undoubtedly the best in the division, but what it comes down to is how well you hit. How well you perform under pressure.

That was the one and only point that I was trying to make. Smoed did not do so hot either day, but still won because they were the better team at worlds, just like Brandon won NCA because they were the better team both days. Brandon happened to flop at the most important performance of the year. It doesn't mean they lack talent or that Smoed is "so much better" it just means they had a bad day. Everyone supports smoed when they mess up, Brandon deserves the same support. You made great points.

I feel like everyone that is commenting that they "suck" has obviously never cheered before. They had a bad day, it happens. And if you've cheered before and had a stunt fall/pyramid fall then you know how shitty it feels. I don't blame them for storming off or not keeping their face for the rest of the routine. I would've been upset too. I love smoed but anyone that truly knows about cheerleading would know that if Brandon did hit a perfect routine, they would've won.

I don't get all the "oh brandon sucks" bs bc every team has bad days even smoed. It just so happens it had to be at worlds big whoop. Smoed messes up at Palm Springs a lot so they aren't perfect either, but there's a difference if you fall you try to keep the energy up and keep on going. They had straight faces the whole time after the second fall. I love both teams honestly they're both really good. I just wish them both luck this new season

This had all the right elements to be an incredible routine and hit. Cheerleading is a tough sport and is definitely not intended for everyone. I understand that you should support your teammates but your teammates also have an obligation to you to be prepared and you should go into a competition knowing that your teammates will do everything in their power to deliver a nice performance. I would have been furious too because everyone on that floor tried so hard to see it go to waste.

Although I will always be a Macs Cheer Senior Starz fan, I do feel bad for these guys. Having a bad day, especially at Worlds; sucks. But I feel like they went into this being a little bit cocky, and it really showed at the end. I mean if was in there shoes, I would try to be as energetic as possible in the dance. Abby, every team has good days and bad days, that's just the way things go. The important thing is no one gave up and you all did the best you could with the hand you were dealt. No matter what happened in the finals, just reflect on the fact that not only did you and your team make it to the 2013 Worlds, you made it to the finals! There are only ten senior small coed teams in the WORLD that can make that claim. So keep your head up, because you guys don't have to explain anything to anyone.

I knew exactly what they were feeling except on day one. embarrassment, disappointment, anger, sadness, failure is always an option though because we can learn from out mistakes . in which learning follows up with greatness

This isn't a "battle" or a "war" like the smoed episodes make it out to be. This is cheerleading, and although there's nothing wrong with being competitive this is just a sport and hobby. Senior Black obviously had mistakes, but I'm from the Brandon gym and I watch black practice, trust me when I say that this year they aren't playing around and they're going to show people that they are a force to be reckoned with without making it a petty "war" or "battle."
