You will never see another horse do what Flyingbolt attempted to do just one day after winning the QMCC, finishing a very creditable third in the Champion Hurdle. Sadly, injury was to cut short Flyingbolt's illustrious career, but he will always be remembered as one of the greatest chasers we've ever seen.

Powerful horse in his own right , all distances , won a Two Mile Champion Chase at Cheltenham , unfair to make comparisons with the incomparable Arkle .

Great to see Salmon Spray winning the Champion Hurdle with the most stylish of all jumps jockeys Johnny Haine .
