CheeseVention 4 - Bell, CA and Placentia, CA Chuck E. Cheese's visit - May 2007

In May 2007, 'CheeseVention 4' was held in the San Jose, CA area to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Pizza Time Theatre / Chuck E. Cheese's.
During the Event, we traveled to several other CEC's in the area, and this video sequence includes two - the famous Bell, CA location ( highest sales location for the Company at that time ) and Placentia, CA ( home of a rare 'Road Stage' ).
Enjoy this look around the two Stores, including some Show footage at both and a amazing LIVE performance by Chuck E. just for CV4 Attendees ( and now YOU! )
Video segment originally contained within the 'CheeseVention 4' Dvd set program ( released in 2007, long out of print ) from original VHS tapes.
This particular video footage mostly shot by Matt ' The Franchize', who also assisted Chuck E. with his energetic LIVE performance at the Placentia Store.

Agree. Once the Company started rolling out the generic remodel swith the 'purple walls' in 2006/2007 it was all downhill from there. There was no creativity put into the store decor or lighting package anymore.

ah the 2000s the avenger era the pretty lights, the pictures , the showroom and game room the walk around chuck e the little TV screens in the corners of the place, the memories

'Avenger Era' did'nt really start for me until the 2005 /2006 era. Before that, it was just 'Cool Chuck' as a lot of Stores were still using the early 2000s materials. By 2007, it was full on 'Avenger' with the 'purple wall' remodels and the costume character clothing changes.

I just got slapped by nostalgia on the face. My local had the same dim lighting, everytime I see the dim lighting at a CEC it just feels safe and chill

I was born in 2009 in San Jose and my parents took me to the Tully road big Chuck E. Cheese location for the first time and it was so scary for me back then when I was a baby, but now when I look at it in the 2000s, it looks very incredible but it’s said because Tully road is not the same back then😢

Agree. I really miss those ! The ones that lined the areas near the ceiling were standard white florescent tube lights, but with a special colored plastic sleeve that created the 'rainbow' effect.

Has anyone noticed that when there was still at least 9 Road Stages left, they all had the 1/2 stage platform, except for the Mississauga one. (Which is the last Road Stage left) It has a different shaped platform. I don’t know this for sure, but I’m pretty sure that Road Stages had different platforms than the 1/2 stages back then.

$68,000 a week?! Holy cow!!! I’ve never heard of a CEC location making that much money at all. Wow! I wonder how much my store makes? Sure does look chaotic in there though. I would’ve wanted to go to that store on a weekday instead of a weekend. BTW that ‘roadshow’ that Matt was referring to was the Bday Star 2001 Walk-In version.

For many years the Bell, CA location was THE top sales location in the entire Company. It was always the top location in the company newsletters back in the late 90s / early 2000s and nobody came close to topping them at the time.

One of the fans who had visited the Fullerton Store that night pointed his video camera into the kitchen window, thus filming in a employee only area that was off limits to Guests. The manager on duty saw him do this and was not pleased, and asked him to leave.

Yes, at some point in the future i plan on doing this. I was just thinking about it earlier today, as a matter of fact. Need to prepare for it...but it will happen at some point. :)

@@CircusShowplace omg Yes please and thank you so much I hope one day she can an actual working animatronic as I do know some one who made a cyberamic animatronic head and is making it into a kit where it works maybe these parts could help this

She IS 'operational', but not as a air powered mechanical device. She can be 'puppeteered' from within to simulate her movements rather convincingly. If you have seen the 'CheeseVention X' footage out there of her performance at that Event, you will know what i mean. As she is the only one known to still exists, i would not want to risk damage by running her as a animatronic without close supervision.

@@CircusShowplace that's fair enough I Wish I did see those videos of her as those videos got taken down of her from the cheese vation. Also so cool to know that she is operational just might need to get the air compressor and supervisor her would be best but I would test it out without the cosmetics on her first and see how it goes. I have seen that it's possible to make more of her cosmetics by making the head and hands etc the same size but out of clay and make it detail then you can put fiberglass over it. Once you have made the fiberglass make sure to gently separate the back and the front in half then use the half's separately and try to make a clay mold by putting the clay over the fiberglass and then take the fiberglass out of the new clay mold that would have all the details of what the character looks like then put latex in the clay mold should be able to make more cosmetics that way
