The reason why game over doesn't matter is simple. Nintendo wants every world to be beatable, but clear-checking a 40 lvl world would be very annoying. Every level was checked "with infinite lives", so you need the same for the world. Else, Panga could for example upload an impossible world (not literally impossible, but cloee) with all his levels and 1 life

If panga makes 40 levels that took him on average let's say 100 attempts, and he sets it to 1 life, there is absolutely no possible way a human is ever going to beat all 40 levels without dying.

This is already a problem with endless. How are you meant to beat some super expert kaizo that took the credit 40 hours to upload in only 30 lives. Seems pretty unlikely.

@@davelewis8270 The solution for endless is the skip option, which obviously can't be added to super worlds. That being said, I do wish game overs did matter- if Nintendo allows garbage levels where you have to find the dev block or whatever hidden at random in a massive level, I really don't see why really difficult worlds are such a problem. If a creator is good, they'll give the players enough lives to beat the level with - and if the creator is bad and makes 40 difficult levels with 1 life, then no one is going to play that world.

I don't think anyone's noticed this, but the first few mario 69 levels were each inspired by a different game. The red coins represent collectables. New Soup has 3 for example(star coins) and 3dw has 4 (stamp + green stars). The last one I was sure of was mario Run inspired, not sure after that...

yo I think I found out what the ninjas mean. if you game over in the level you are playing on and continue to try the ninja counter will go up. thats why there is more ninjas in some levels in worlds than others. plus the obvious unique players that played that level in the world as well. i think this is a good explanation why.

So i'm noticing that you don't do spins on the ground in 3D world probably because you may not know, I don't have my switch right now but if i can remember correctly you have to press ( up + z ) to spin on ground and then ( b ) to jump and it can get you to go/jump higher, that way around 25:47 you could have gotten that red coin by doing the spin and wall jump. Hope this was helpful to others that may see this comment.

The whole interface for worlds is weird. On the course world menu, everything else is a button with a defined rectangular background. Lacking any background causes the super world button to stand out in an awkward way from the other 9 buttons. It may seem small, but it was one of the first things I noticed in videos after the update. Then there's the super world menu itself, which just displays 10 random worlds at a time with zero search functionality? Obviously things like game style and course theme wouldn't apply to a world search, but things like upload date, number of plays/clears, region, and difficulty would all be very useful to search by. Especially searching by difficulty. Could easily just have two difficulty tags for each super world, one each for the highest and lowest difficulty levels that appear across all its courses.

Nintendo hasn’t actually explained what they’re doing in the worlds so looking it up won’t give you a real answer but we know it’s not tracking in real time because the numbers are simply too high (did you really think 999+ people are playing Sams world at the same time as Panga?). The more likely explanation is that it tracks how many people are currently progressed to that stage.
