P Lucas I know I’m free to suffer fools and I usually don’t, but being nice has its place - at times. You never know with whom you’re dealing, especially online. @@nomebear Maybe it's Casper the Friendly Boy. Y'know, we really don't know that much about Casper BEFORE he became a famous ghost. I think there's a story there.

I didn't understood this that way.... To me the boy has 2 dads, and the neighboor wasn't expecting that so when he get the baseball stuff he goes giving them to the woman (propably the only woman in his neighborhood ?) because he actually believed she was the kid's mom ? Plus, we can see a moving truck at the beginning so that would mean the kid's family is new in the neighborhood, that would be why nobody knows kid's family is a 2 dads family and would explain why the man goes giving baseball stuff to the woman
@Taevarth5 жыл бұрын
For everyone confused about the Ghost Boy. He asks "Do you have a son?" And then finds out that his neighbor lost her son and family. The boy's purpose was to make him feel guilty about abandoning his gay son, and maybe his son used to play baseball with him too, until he came out to his dad. I think the dad realized that he may not have his son forever, or vice versa, and he wanted to make amends.

I don't agree. Realizing by watching old photos is perhaps a more _realistic_ way to depict the change process, but the visualization would be kind of boring. In a film, a magical metaphore is more interesting and gives more interaction and acting. Without this part of the plot, the film would only have one actor and a lot of the film story would only take place inside his head...

Although I realize that this movie has an LGBT theme, what really stood out to me in this film was more the utter unfriendliness and downright rudeness of the american anglos. After living most of my adult life in Mexico where people are just soooo different, at times when I return to the US, this is exactly how I find the anglo population to be, as portrayed in this movie. An excellent portrayal of a sad reality!

Wow, this was powerful. The only critique, and it has nothing to do with the content, is that it would have been far more visually aesthetic had a cinematic look been applied to the footage. It was too crisp and clear. I’m guessing it was filmed in 4K, which is great for filming...but a nice cinematic filter would have added such warmth and realism to the film. Just my opinion. That you guys did this in high school is phenomenal. Wonderful, wonderful job. Five stars!!!!
