All the big cats or for that matter felines run like that - their heads are still when chasing down prey. The difference (or advantage) the cheetah has is their spine which acts like a flexible coiled spring to generate maximum thrust during the sprint, half of their sprint is airborne if you see the video again (the cheetah is actually flying through the air with all its legs off the ground at full stretch) and lastly their long tails which act as rudders to change direction instantly during the sprint. That's why they're the fastest land animal. The second fastest big cat is the lion, and there are documentaries lions hunting cheetahs in the wild.

This is one of the most beautiful things in nature, no doubt! Some things we can take away from this, as someone who used to be a competitive runner. When the legs make contact they are bent to absorb the ground, they also are already moving backward before they contact the ground, and they contact the ground directly beneath the shoulder. Cheetahs…the ultimate running machine.

@@genxx2724 which part? The legs being bent on contact with the ground or foot making contact with the ground below the shoulder. If you watch slow mo of Kipchoge, the world’s best marathoner, his knee has a slight bend when contacting the ground and his foot lands if not right beneath the shoulder, barely in front of it. I don’t see how this makes you fall on your face, it’s literally what he does.

@@genxx2724 no. That is how it is. But you need core strength to be able to keep your body in balance while leaning forward ever so slightly, almost as if you where falling. Again looking at kipchoge he is literally a plank slightly inclined forward, and he talks about all the core work he does, both abs and lower back

You also have to make sure that all your paws leave the ground for a split second to help propel you further. 😉 ...I taught myself how to run by watching cheetahs hehehe! 🤭

My border collie totally looks like a cheetah when he runs! The way his spine expands when hes running on top speed and how he uses his hind legs to bring him forward. His ribcage is also very big compared to his thin body, he looks bery aerodynamic when he runs. And also cheetah top speed is 100-120 km/h and border collie top speed is 45-50 km/h so it's almost half of cheetah top speed. So i tell everyone my dog runs at half a cheetah speed 😂🐆🐕❤️

Impossible to pick one, but they are definitely one of the most beautiful cats alive. Their body structure, coat, face, just everything about them. And the wierd thing is they are one of the easiest Big Cats to befriend if you have them as cubs. I dont ever support that unless the person has lots of land and treats them equally as one would to a baby. With a nice enivronment they are enjoying their life. Since humans have taken so much of the land many animals once lived wildly, it's impossible to say "let them ve wild and natural"and yeah that's a great idea, but other then 3000 sauare miles like Kruger its just not feasible anymore unless it's in one of the African countries that has those big reserves. That's why I like Kruger Mala Mala, Sabi Sands and the park in Mozambique because they are connected to Kruger and the animals an cross and roam 3 different countries. That's a great thing.
