as i Tell u one Experience of Mine . Recently i was Capturing Image with Contract of TakeImage .. The Issue i was facing with is that. It Captures image on alll api levels but The image which i save in External (public storage) the gallery dont Scan it or Shows in Gallery.. Even i was using MediaScanner or Broadcast. Then after alot of Thinking or Changings ... i Changed My Contract of TakeImage() to StartActivityForResult contract when getting that Image I was Success in Saving image and or Shows in Gallery too .. For all lower or New (11 or 12 ) api levels without even writing To Android DB..
