I make mine in a sheet pan so square and add mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, Italian seasoning ,garlic powder and onion powder on top. One kit makes a big sheet pan and half which is one bag of the flour make's a small sheet pan I use half the sauce for a small pan and freeze the rest for another pizza. It taste delicious every time. Your pizza could have been stretched out more and the added seasoning is great! Does not taste like ravioli sauce or spaghetti sauce. I even sprinkle a small bit of salt to taste. Give it a try !

These kits are the best! We take a sheet pan, like you used, and coat it with shortening. Let the dough rise at least 1/2 hour. Press half of the dough into the sheet pan (all corners not oval), it will look very thin. Use half the can of sauce and top with cheese/toppings of choice. Bake for 11 minutes, rotate and bake another 11 minutes or until well done. The BEST homeade pizza. Please give this another try, you wont be disappointed. So so good!

Once upon a time, the kits came with cheese. Parmesan to be exact. I was thoroughly pissed when they stopped it. I don't know what was different about the cheese, but it just hit different than what you get out of a Kraft can. And then they changed the sauce recently. The sauce now is just weak, watered down tomato sauce. Back in the day, 20-25 years ago, I would routinely get the pepperoni kits. The sauce in that would put hair on ya chest. It was like 20% tiny pepperonis that had a strong smokey flavor to them, 30% pepperoni grease that would give you nuclear heartburn and 50% tomato sauce. It was so bad that it was so, so good. Make up both bags and make a huge deep dish in a 13x9inch pan, sauce looking like a swimming pool, sprinkle the cheese on it. Friday evening with that pizza, 1 liter bottle of mountain dew and playing Spyro the Dragon on the PS1 until 3am Saturday morning.

Chef Boyardee pizza was the first pizza I ever had. My parents would make this on the weekends as an after supper snack. My sister and I did not like pizza, so I think Mom and Daddy enjoyed having it all to themselves. I learned to like pizza after tasting my best friend’s mother’s homemade pizza. Her’s were heads above the Chef Boyardee ones, but we were so limited in what was available back in the early 70’s.
