I have been stuck in the Rabbit hole of sharpening for years now, so much that I startede my own side buisness sharpening. I would suggest you get real quality stones. The brands are of course Japanese, and are tons better than Tristones and these Chinese crap stones(that will get the job done). I have obviously tried both the cheap and now the only ones I use, quality japanese stones. They are synthetic, so not the hyper expensive JNats or Natural mined stones but affordable and longlasting. The brands are Naniwa, Shapton, Suehiro and King. Enjoy. And Great vid!

Listened to him say there's "two kinds of stones" and shut it off.
