Maybe you can start another save file before it was too late, because start new game at winter seasons definitely big mistake that can caused very hard to get cooking material, its worst seasons for this game definitely

I've started my first game in Winter too. While it's hard to gather most of the ingredients while foraging, you can definitely hunt and fish a lot of meats and collect seashells. Sell some of your loot for extra cash for the other ingredients while you also recipe-hunt at the local stores.
