This is what i think... Chef Smith might have been scammed... He probably registered with a fake account possing as GWR and it is this fake account that has been dealing with him since. The scammers probably sent him the email congratulating him as the GWR holder and sent him a fake certificate to print out himself. The scammers most likely gave chef smith's team the excuse of they not being on the official GWR website by telling them it is because they registered regular... I strongly feel he was scammed and he fell for it...

@@KofiGreat-hb3oi Could be the case as well. But wouldn't the GWR agent have said that "he never applied" for a chance to break the record? I think he did, but maybe they disqualified him a while back but he knew that he could keep going for a month to basically earn more reputation and money. And now, he's in a corner where he can't keep going because it's obvious that no human can do what he claims to have done, but instead of telling the truth that they disqualified him, here we are with more lies. So I agree, he's either lying (which is most likely the case) or he has been scammed (less likely, but probable).
