I actually went to North Korea in 2007. I was living in South Korea at the time, and there was a tour company that did weekend trips to a tourist resort (I think it was the only tourist resort in North Korea at least at the time) in an area called Geumgangsan. It was a pretty surreal experience. I didn’t take a grilled cheese sandwich with me though.

I just made the best grilled cheese I’ve ever made! I started by buttering the pan and toasting one side of each piece of bread. I then got my mayo and mixed in a bit of minced garlic. After I mixed them together I spread it on the toasted sides of the bread. I then sprinkled on sliced up sharp cheddar cheese. I buttered the pan again and toasted the sandwich the rest of the way. It was a perfect golden brown inside and out and I would highly recommend it!

In north korea, eggs are the ultimate delicacy only for the very wealthy. This is especially true for noodles, as they are commonly eaten just plain by the regular people. A common ingredient eaten by the general people are corn. So maybe cheese with corn? maybe sprinkle some sugar? haha From interviews of North Koreans, they cried when someone gave them a basic instant noodle with cracked eggs on it.
@tamerthamer207415 сағат бұрын
What you're saying is ridiculous, eggs are not a delicacy in North Korea, eggs are the easiest form of protein to produce through domestication. Chickens can literally just feed themselves in an open field by eating weeds and worms. Maybe the chicken itself might be expensive, but eggs are definitely not. It's logistically impossible for eggs to be expensive or scarce unless it is done intentionally. And the same applies for noodles, it is the most basic staple meal that doesn't even require expensive industrial equipment to mass produce. North Korea isn't a rich country by any stretch of the imagination, but there are a lot of lies spread about it because the USA doesn't like it. Try to think more critically about the information you're getting from the USA or South Korea because they're its two biggest enemies. The most important thing is to treat them like humans and think about things logistically whenever claims like these arise.

@ North Korea doesn’t have civilian owned farms. All farms are owned by the government. If they take from the farms, they are stealing and will potentially go to jail. Just bc it’s easy internationally, you can’t use that judgement for North Korea.

Hey Tyler, I have a grilled cheese recipe I really like but it’s doesn’t have other ingredients like meat or anything, I hope you like it it’s: In a bowl mix one stick a soften butter, grade in one clove of garlic, freshly chopped parsley, a little bit bir of dried oregano, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. For the cheese do some cheddar, gouda, mozzarella, muenster and Monterrey jack. All cheeses grated yourself. Then butter up the both sides of the bread with the butter mixture into a pan. Than a little more of the cheese blend than you think is necessary. Than take out once both sides of bread are a golden brown and then cheese is nice and melted than that’s it. Hope you make it and like it👍
