Chef I remember your last video in which you said that you had returned back from foreign to Mumbai and was feeling very hopeless and then you saw something happening on the streets and you asked your auto vala and then you got to know ki it was Ganesh Chaturthi and you felt soo positive and full of hope that the day you've landed is so auspicious and you mustered up all the courage withing you and decided "main vapis kuch acha karke hee rahunga" and the rest has been history. The video was quite emotional and brought tears to almost everyone's eyes . But anyways salute to you and your unending thirst for cooking , Ganpati Bappa Morya ! 💛

Modak in Maharashtra is the same thing in Bengal during winters called 'Pithey'.. The shape is different. But yes every religion has its own flavour. Above all we r Indians.❤❤

It's similar, but not the same. Ukdiche modak are steamed, there's no semolina in the dough, and ghee is used in copious amounts at nearly every stage. The other fried variety of modak has a bit of semolina inthe outer cover, but is mostly maida.
