It’s my first time making arroz con leche. This recipe was easy to follow and it was delicious!! Glad I found your page! PS I like mine cold. Warm is good too but as a child we ate it cold.

I really enjoy your video I was born in Dominican Republic in 1956 I came out here in 1963 with my mother unfortunately my mother died 3 years after she retired from her nursing career and she used to make rice pudding God when I seen you making this rice pudding and reminded me so much of my mother's rice pudding . So actually I'm trying to make Dominican rice pudding for the first time in my life. I remember she used to make me avena and that was so delicious too ❗ thank you so so much for making this video and don't stop from Los Angeles California

I made a dairy free version of this with cashew milk for my husband because he's allergic to milk and he loveddddd it! Thanks chef Zee 😊
@swankyangelo85272 жыл бұрын
Que triste? Dique cashew milk, more like nut pudding. I’m playing pero no, like get him an allergy test and medicine so he can eat dairy again. Allergies can be cured if you’re willing to endure the discomfort for 6-18 months. What’s a bit of discomfort for a lifetime of yum? Well, ninja keep eating your nut pudding

What an odd reply @Swankyangelo8527. Anyway, the cashew milk is a great substitution. I will be trying!

condensed milk is what you needed to add instead of more sugar and milk, like that it can be more flavorable and sweet

I usualy use plant based milk for healthier version but i have to admit now that i ve done your recipe it is the very best for a creamy rice pudding. Regarding sugar 1/2 cup was more than enough. Amazing flavour and so much easier to make and quicker than on the stove for the rice part. Let s just see what the dominican guy in the house has to say about it lol thanks! Love your recipes!

Hi, I loveeee your channel and you help me go back to my child hood when mi abuela used to cook all of this. She recently passed so I want to learn all her cuban dishes and you have them all 💙 thank you so much. I want to request if you could make a video on toastada cubana (cuban bread and butter toasted for those who don’t know) for breakfast. You know how cubans love their toastada for breakfast con cafe con leche. I mean however you make that breakfast do so, I just do not see any videos on Cuban toastada on KZbin and I think there should be although it is very simple. Again thank you for this beautiful channel and I hope you can make the video for us 💙💙💙💙

Hi Chef Zee. Is the 2 cups rice the total after cooked or before. Also did you shut off the milk before you put the rice in or after? Thank you so much. I’ve been trying hard to make my Dominican grandmothers arroz con leche but I’ll never be able to ; honestly. She was a superb cook. I do make a recipe I found on KZbin that’s made in an instapot and it’s delicious. But I’d love to try this recipe because like you I want it to be as close to my grandmothers as possible. Thank you. This recipe looks awesome.

Bueno … mi madre lo cocina sin azúcar y nos lo servía con canela y azúcar al lado del plato para que así le añadiéramos la cantidad deseada ya que en mi casa había muchos enfermos. Y me encanta sentir la textura del azúcar. Hot like a Dinner 🍲 Cold like a dessert 🍮

Can you add raisins and nutmeg I'm Puerto Rican and I was taught to make the tea but this shortcut makes it easy for me, usually, a little long process, especially grating coconut, squeezing the coconut milk, too much work, and I was taught this way but my hand and arms get tired especially when I do this by myself. Thank you for the shortcuts.❤

A lot of people add raisins and nutmeg. I say go for it. I love cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg. Sometimes a splash of rose water. I never grew up with lime juice with it I definitely should try it out.
