The skin is the body's largest organ. It has millions of pores (jild ke masam), most of which are invisible to the naked eye. The skin can "breathe" since all of these pores are open. A hair follicle may be found in each pore. Each pore also includes sebaceous (oil) glands, which produce sebum, a kind of oil.
The pores on your face (chehre ke masam), back, chest, and groin have the most sebaceous glands. Hormones stimulate these glands, causing them to release more sebum in greater amounts. That's why your facial pores (munh ke masam), particularly those on your nose, forehead, and cheeks, may look bigger than those on other parts of your body (jism ke masam).
The appearance of large, open pores can be caused by any skin type, whether oily, normal, or dry. These can dull the look of your skin, especially if they're filled with debris, bacteria, oil, or dead skin cells.
While wide pores are not a medical problem (khule masam ki wajah), they can be a cosmetic issue for some people who are unhappy with the appearance of their skin. Open pores in teenagers and adults with acne can get blocked, resulting in blackheads or whiteheads. Aging skin with less collagen may also appear to have bigger, open pores, which can be concerning.
In this video, we'll go over some of the facial characteristics of people who have open pores (chehre ke khule masam), including how their skin may seem dull owing to dirt buildup in their pores. We'll go over some simple homemade treatments that have helped shrink those large pores in our patients after just 5 days of applying them.
Pores can't be completely "shrunk" because they're a part of our skin, and genetics do play a role in determining the texture of our skin; however, following a skincare regimen and keeping your face washed and moisturized in general will help minimize the appearance of large pores, causing them to appear smaller and shrunk, as most people prefer.
