Chelan to Stehekin WA Day Trip

We take a cruise to Stehekin Washington aboard the Lady of the Lake. We depart from Chelan, and cruise for a little over three hours on the 50 mile long Fjord. Lake Chelan is the largest natural lake in the state by any measure, The lake is also one of the deepest fresh water lakes. Stehekin is a small village at the head of the lake. The only way to get to this small community is either by boat, float plane, horse back, or on foot. There are no roads to Stehekin. We rented bikes to peddle around the village and to visit rainbow falls. Our return trip was on the Lady Cat a high speed catamaran
that takes a little over an hour to return to Chelan.

The fairy captain was great.. 1300 foot sea level and 1800 foot deap lake. What a great it never freezes up at lake Chelan to stehekin. Beautiful area and fantastic bakery and Apple oarcard.

thanks for posting this. I moved away from the Seattle area in 2018 and I miss it, so much. It's home to me, even though I've lived in New York, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Michigan. Washington state is the most amazing place on earth.

That is one hell of a long lake, almost half the distance from Fresno to Bakersfield!!
