Schedule your exam as early as is available. There is NO sense in waiting. If you happen to "not pass," you can retake the exam in 45 days.

Hi! This will be my first time taking the NCLEX. How did you study your UWORLD questions after doing practiced questions? I found myself doing them but having a hard time reviewing the rationale. Did you write the rationale down as you did the questions or just read and understand them? Thank you

Hi Michelle. How did you feel UWorld prepared you for the NCLEX since you mentioned the questions were so different? I just finished my program and just started my study plan using UWorld (and reading rationales).

Hi Mike! I wholeheartedly still support using UWorld as your #1 resource! Even if the questions aren’t in the same format, I think UWorld is still really good at preparing you to think critically and make sound clinical decisions. Honestly, if you did follow a resource that did more closely mimic the NCLEX, yes you would be more prepared in terms of what to expect to see, but you most likely wouldn’t learn as much, and you’d just feel like crap the whole time you studied. On that note, I think NCLEX content is purposefully selected to not match the content in most if not all study resources out there, so you’re meant to not recognize the material. They just wanna see how you think and make decisions despite not knowing exactly what the questions are about. But if you put in your time studying, just have faith in the process, and you WILL pass. Best of luck! 😊
