Why won’t we say we’re in a title race? Because we’re not like deluded Arsenal fans who think they’ll win the league every season, only to crumble and undermine the competition. We know exactly where we stand as a club and prefer to keep our expectations grounded in reality.

No, we're not afraid. We've watched our club win the title before. We know our vulnerabilities GK, CB and ST. So the current form is pleasing but we're not naive to that, and we know why fans like y'all want to hoist it upon us, you lot were saying we're a mess, bottle jobs and boardroom upheavals.

Do you watch the games? Or even pay attention to what Maresca is saying yesterday was a perfect example we conceded a goal in the 90th when we had the ball on a throw in we leak goals at the wrong time and like Dan said we are outperforming our defensive XG you guys want us to say we are in a title race so when we don’t win it which most Chelsea Fans don’t believe to begin with you’ll call us bottlers mind you this is still the youngest team in the league in terms of average age and it’s not close we won’t win it this year but next year and the following season it’s ours for the taking

Not even half way through the season and the same people predicting Chelsea to flop again are now narrowing it down to Chelsea in a title race with Liverpool.

The Liverpool fan proves its rival fans trying to change the narrative when he says that even if Chelsea signs a top keeper and defender in January, he still DOESN'T think we will win it. Most rival fans when you ask them if they think Chelsea will win it say NO, but then are all obsessed with forcing Chelsea fans to say we think we can/we will, which shows its all just rival fans trying to change up the narrative to position this season as a failure even if we finish 2nd. Every rival fan had Chelsea outside top-4, many mid-table. Chelsea's finishes in last 2 seasons were 12th and 6th. Now it's looking like we have a very solid good chance at top-4. If we do finish top-4 it's a fantastic season, whatever rival fans try and banter.

I have a feeling with the way that Maresca likes to rotate the squads, that we will start to see many of the midweek teams starting PL games in January, and vice-versa. We might drop points then and potentially lose our grip on top 4, so I definitely agree, it's not our year...yet.

But that could just be our saving point. None of the top 4 teams boast the deep squad depth like we do. Not even the league leaders. Just look at what happens when one of their key players this season (Konate) is missing. The level drops massively. Now imagine Vvd is out injured. Or Salah (who's been carrying that attack) is going through a rough patch like the second half of last season. Capitulation.

We have mistakes in us and had been inconsistent the past few seasons. I would not be suprise to see Chelsea drop to 4th 5th if we have a string of bad results
