Kudos to you CHELSEA for bring this up in a worker/boss meeting. -- In the 70’s I worked for a conservative engineering firm that informed each employee about one engineering-drafter was going to switch genders thus soon stop using the Men’s Room and begin using the Women’s. Many of us thought “ouch” but wished him well. Others were jerks. It seemed the guy was gone too long - but then the guy finally returned from the long absence - wearing flats with long slacks and white blouse - bangs - long straight shiny black hair. Twenty something, white, British. One day, at lunch a new guy seated with a bunch of us was told the “girl with black bangs” was easy. She was seated all by herself in the cafeteria. Fortunately the new guy did not approach her. Instead of getting the jerk reprimanded I sought the advice of a female employee - she calmed me down. Days later my female friend brought some of her friends to sit at the same cafeteria table as the “girl with black bangs.” CHELSEA - so if you were my boss - would you fire the jerk if the new guy dated “the girl with black bangs” and found out “the hard way”?
