@ I know what you mean and most windows have been bad overall. But summer 23/24 was fairly good in hindsight. Palmer, Caicedo, Jackson all vital players, Lavia if he stays fit can be in that bracket. Happy to wait for Gusto to join in that window was another smart move. Sold well too, even considering how those sold have gone on to perform.

Big up dan! These directors recruitment strategy is killing off another season and getting the manager sacked! This summer tranfer window was the worst under this ownership! Kdh, kellyman & veiga, players that the manager doesn't rate or hardly uses. We desperately need a decent gk, cb & striker instead these directors keep buying wingers. chilwell's is still banished. Why aren't we selling him & players who are surplus to requirements? These directors have been bottling transfers funds for 2 seasons now. They should be sacked & the recruitment strategy needs to be changed!

I think it's the culmination of a number of things, not just recalling Chaloba. Don't forget, we're now getting rid of defenders and players we bought only last year. It's insanity. I questioned the ethics and inhumane treatment of all the young players were buying. There being treated as investments and not humans.

To feed the urgent need to rapidly change the player portfolio and comply with PSR, Chelsea had to sell. They were unsavory, ruthless, unprofessional. Focusing on the result and not the players involved. Chalobah and Chilwell iced or jettisoned. Then hired a coach with a particular style and system. Figuring out the best way to piece a team together. Massive injuries under Pochettino with less under Maresca, has hampered squad development and league progress. Maresca has had to innovate to accommodate squad capabilities. With limited playing time, some players want out. Smaller squad selection, few substitutions and ongoing youth purchases are making for challenging times. Evidence: Maatsen, Acheampong only signed as James, Fofana and Badiashile were injured. Veiga, Nkunku, Dewsbury-Hall, Casadei are evaluating other options. What goes around, comes around. Building a unified, cohesive with fractions is not easy. No whole numbers. Second half may be completely diff different than the furst half.

the sporting directors purchased a bunch of bloat ware. Players like Datro Fofana, KDH, Deivid Washington are all good players but not for Chelsea. They have made good purchases like Santos, and Gusto but at this point we need players that can move the needle.

Directors weren't the ones who wanted coach instead of manager. They are not decision makers. Owners are. Directors just following instructions and executing them. Directors are employed by Clearlake capital.

you who say that the salary of Nico William and even Osimhen is high, tell me how their respective clubs manage to pay them? Do these clubs exceed Chelsea? Was never a fan of Maresca even when the match going fans were singing his name. Yes he has done some good things . However he is a yes man with no quality for CFC. He said he has been watching Chelsea videos. Then came out to say Sanchez is his number 1.lol 2. When defense is leaking goals for fun ! He said we are good in defense and is not a problem . That’s how you know we doomed with that scam just like Clearlake, Disasi , Sanchez. sporting directors .
