There are different levels of signings the board makes. 1. Players they believe will be elite, and they are ready to break bank for. Enzo, Caicedo, Mudryk, hopefully Olise. These are risky expensive signings and these players will be given enough time to prove themselves. 2. Players they believe are good value for money. Palmer, Badiashile, Disasi, Madueke, Jackson, Gusto, Lavia etc. These players will be given a chance but might also be flipped for profit or small loss if they are deemed not of the highest level. Palmer, Gusto have hit that expectation and will stay, but the rest might get flipped for profit if opportunity arises. 3. Elite future generations like Estevao and Kendry Paez. 4. Players that are bought to be flipped, but if they turn out to be elite, they might be kept at Chelsea. Washington, Omari, Andrey Santos, Casedei, Angelo Gabriel. These players will almost certainly be sold for profit but if the board believes they can be elite level, they will be given a chance at Chelsea. Example Andrey Santos. Not all players are signed to play for Chelsea. Only the very best will remain at Chelsea, the rest will be sold when the market is right. If the sold intention of these owners was to make profit then they would have put Palmer up for sale for £80 million, already started negotiations with Bayern regarding Colwil and sold one of James or Gusto. Yes, we can cry about signing an "experienced" striker. We have gone and signed the likes of Shevchenko, Torres, Falcao, Higuain, Lukaku, Morata in the past, but now I am ready to believe in the striker they have scouted instead.
