Chelsea Grin is the first recording by Chelsea Grin. It was originally released as downloadable content through iTunes and later into Compact Disc format. It assisted in popularizing the band and is their only release through Statik Factory Records before switching to Artery Recordings the following year of its release. The songs "Cheyne Stokes" and "Recreant" were re-recorded for their debut full-length album, which was released in 2010.

I always loved the healthy dose of different death metal influences on this EP. From Suffocation's groovy mid-paced slams, The Black Dahlia Murder's diminished scale tremolo picked leads and pedal point riffs, as well as Despised Icon's dissonant breakdown sections. Still one of my favorite debut deathcore EPs from the golden age of deathcore (2006 - 2012).

I remember finding this band in high school when I was 17 only because a website I shopped on had two basic shirts with their name on them, I looked them up and showed my friends and they liked them too, it's hard to believe how far they've come, but now there's no original members but I still like them both old and new, I'm 31 now and this EP will always hold a place to me as I grew up.

As an old school death metal and grindcore fan that never really got into slam and deathcore when it was emerging, I definitely like a lot of it now. Chelsea grin, job for a cowboy, and black dahlia are all such great intense bands. Call it whatever genre you like, this is great death metal to me. I like the influences of hardcore, punk, black metal, grindcore, thrash, and death metal that all combine to make something heavier and more brutal. Our music keeps evolving and I can't wait to see what's next.

There's no doubt that this EP and Desolation Of Eden is the best they ever have maked after my opinion. Of those Deathcore bands I've listened to then Chelsea Grin is the best of them all cause this EP is killing it jesus! Crewcabanger & Cheyne Stokes is my favorites of them 'I Will Make Your Insides, On Your Fucking Outside' and then the killer breakdown in the end omfg perfect! 10/10, wish that they would make stuff like this again it would be sick or just re-record this EP...

u know i didnt really know too much bout them after this i never gave them a try they are good but not the best glad i gave them chance i kinda do envy new bands like this that have death elements in them im 29 and all i ever wanted to be since 12 was in band and over yrs ive just heard too many new bands that try be too hard and brutal and to me arent and im like fukk let me be in a band and I"LL be Brutal as all hell but over yrs i gotten more into the melody and groove of music and musicianship so i changed in that part and eventhough im not in a band i still when i can afford it after being homeless buy a guitar thru hardwork after getting mine along with over 200 metal cds i bought not downloaded and other stuff bowls deerskinning knife etc at florida state campus in may when leaving it at megabus stop in gainesville fl trying to use phone to contact my niece for ride and yes having the faith that no one would steal it after no one stealing when homeless in tally for 2 mos i was naive so whoever stole my guitar my cds etc i hope they are getting there stolen paws worth as i got my moneys worth and when i get a guitar MOTHERFUCKERS ITS ON AND IM NOT HOLDING SHIT BACK
