The whole album's vocals are like that, it's supposed to follow a story of an evil person dying and going to hell, My Damnation(the actual song) does a great job of conveying the emotion. Always preferred these vocals to the later style anyway.

If you ever get the chance to see Chelsea Grin live, DO IT. I am being completely serious when I say they put on a heavy and badass show. Alex's vocals are amazing live, and much better than they used to. There is just so much energy in these guys and they are fun to hang out with. Seen them at the Infamous Tour, great guys.

Chelsea Grin is amazing. theyre EP was just pure brutality, Desolation of Eden sounded like the apocolypse because it was so brutal yet it was almost symphonic, and my damnation is more of a deathcore with a hardcore twist but it still manages to kick ass
