@@joshwhitehouseofficial I hadn’t heard the song before and was just listening to the guitar mostly and the tone of your singing + the sun - when I wrote my first comment… but what a sad and empty life Leonard seemed to be describing (I’ve now looked up the lyrics) … my guitar teacher is from Manchester, cohen is his favorite. I would never wish that life on anyone Josh. But I’m aware of the feeling of being stuck in the pining. I refuse to stay there in it towards a person, for myself, I experience it now as a remembrance of and calling of our Creator (like the poet Francis Thompson wrote in “The Hound of Heaven…or cs lewis in “the weight of glory”, “saudade” in Portuguese and “sehnsucht” in German). I wish you (and everyone ) true peace and Love.
