Timori is much better than still error prone but much less moves the ball faster has long passing faster acceleration, is not as foul prone and actually ok in the air. I’d welcome him as a replacement very quickly and Chalobah

What we don't need is another CB, with the bozo gene, and Tomori is definitely the original bozo. Even Lampard recognised this and eventually dropped him. That season, with him and Zouma as our main CBs, we let in a record number of goals mainly from set pieces, mainly down to Tomori. His main assets are his speed and his ability to make recovery tackles. But he lacks physical presence, and the ariel dominance required to be a decent Premier League CB. The decision to let him go was correct, and this was confirmed when we played AC Milan in the Champions League a couple of years later. He was awful in both legs. Bringing down Mount for a penalty in one leg, and didn't he get sent off in the other? It would be a huge mistake, but typical Chelsea, to buy back a player, who we have already identified as not good enough in the first place.
