Chelsea is a much bigger shop window than FC Basel. It was a smart move even if he wasn't starting many games as it's far more likely the top-level scouts would see him perform. And it appears to have worked. His valuation is double what it was, and he's now getting call-ups to the senior national team. I'd be sorry to see him goo because I believe he will be a quality player, but he really isn't in our long-term plans atm -- though perhaps he could be getting more minutes at CB given the injuries.

I really love the “idea” of veiga. In theory he’s a GREAT signing. He’s raw though. Makes rash decisions and tackles. Do I want him to leave? Hell no. When you watch him you see flashes of brilliance at times. He just needs development. The thing that pisses me off about all this is him saying he wants to play at CB. He never said that even when the club asked him. He basically said he didn’t care where he played. Now all of a sudden you want to be a CB? If you want to leave then kick rocks but they’ll have to cough up at least 20 mil plus add ons.

My feeling is Renato came to Chelsea expecting it to be a real step up and that he would need time to adjust and raise his game. What's happened is he has looked very comfortable and has found himself getting in to the Portugal team as a CB. I wouldn't be surprised if he has been told by the national team that he has a chance to lock down that spot of he can get more game time and experience as a CB. Double our money in 6 months and insert a sell on clause in case he really explodes and wish him all the best 👍

When one fruit spoils, you never take the risk of the rest spoiling. Toss it before he convinces others to leave too. icl, i might be wrong and i am a big gusto fan so don't get me wrong, but i dont see how the same that is being said for chilwell isn't being said for gusto, because he clearly isnt doing a good job at inverting, which is also normal as he's still learning that position but his profile is clearly more of a conventional up and down right back and i feel like with james being fit again, he won't be playing at all as the coach might prefer using acheampong or even caicedo in that position

The only problem I see here is the Maintenance guys, I feel they can do a better job. We've had loads of stars in the past complaining about the rust and poor hinges around the office and Cobham particularly. We fixed it more recently when we had a massive clear out by clearlake obviously, but the problem seems to be recurring. If we can sort out a better maintenance team, I'm sure we can permanently fix the problems with the doors at Stamford Bridge, I WOULDN'T WANT THE DOORS TO HIT VEIGA ON HIS WAY OUT!!!
