Enzo should 100% have surgery if he's actually been having injections before every game! That's not sustainable at all, and bad practice for a player so young. If we had a champions league final around the corner, that'd be a different question, but his health should be prioritsed over his contributions for us over the final 8 or so games left of the season

The discourse around Enzo surprises me because of the way he was playing under Potter. People talk like he’s never been good for us, but he was very good under Potter, and in the very beginning of the season. Everyone was praising his performance against Liverpool. It’s been so obvious to me that he’s been playing with an injury for the majority of the season. It was even reported, but people don’t take it into account. With Palmer playing on the wing, Enzo, Caicedo and Gallagher were our only fit, senior midfielders for quite some time. He is literally putting his body on the line for the club. How can you not respect that?

Mudryk losing the ball A LOT. I genuinely beg you all to watch the amount of times we lose the ball when it's on his wing Vs the right hand side. Honestly I think he needs to capitalise on passing and moving cos it works for Cucurella well and works for him too. No need to try dribbling like Noni and Palmer cos it's not working for him unless he maybe starts placing his body between him and the ball. It's the small little tweaks

Eventhough Mudryk has pace, his touch and his decision making letting him down so often. He's behind all of the other starter 11 players. He's only useful on a very specific situation where the opponents leave a lot of space behind. If there's no change of manager, he better be loaned out next season.

He is very on and off. At one game he could look motivated and in pretty good form, in another it looks like he doesn't want to play. He gave away the ball too much in my opinion. It's better for him to be loaned out next season.

When we play with Enzo, Caicedo, and Gallagher, we are not nearly as creative up front as we are when two of the three are on the pitch and we have the additional attacker. Unless we feel we really need Gallagher up front for his industry off the ball against a stronger opponent, one of the three should sit. When/if Lavia gets healthy we'll have another expensive midfielder who will want minutes at central midfield. It would not hurt us to do a little rotation in this area given all the injuries and jadedness.

If Enzo is this injured, as the stories say, I am all for him getting the surgery sooner rather than later, so he will be fully fit for the next campaign - also if there should be complications, there is more time to fix that, instead of us having the problem at the start of next season

We need to be realistic , Caicedo is good , we’ve seen it in a lot of games , I remember Yan raving about him but clearly he’s forgot . Everton is one of the games he’s performed in , but we suffer from short term memory loss as Chelsea fans . It’s a new squad , nobody is great or consistent besides Palmer , every other player has been hot and cold . Gallagher has had a couple of horrible games but has been consistent in effort and being available . Enzo doesn’t cover spaces , he leaves holes in the midfield which is why Caicedo suffers , Caicedo has better performances next to Gallagher than Enzo , also the only time Caicedo and Enzo had good form together is when Enzo stuck close to him like how Iniesta and Xavi did in their time , then Enzo started roaming a little too far from Caicedo leaving gaps in midfield allowing us to be easily infiltrated through midfield . We need to properly build chemistry between Enzo and Caicedo , not leaving Caicedo to fight alone in midfield to close gaps

Personally not too worried about Enzo being out. It might have been just 1 game but Gallagher and Caicedo worked really well in the pivot together, almost proving what I thought for a long time: Gallagher is our new Kanté. On top of that Noni at RW and Palmer at CAM seemed to work and even if that stops working, we'll always have Carney available to throw in. Should Gallagher work better as a CDM (which I think is very possible) I think it might be time to try Enzo at CAM again or switch to a 433 long term. And unless we're already playing a 433 against City, I'd actually drop Enzo from the starting 11 and use him more as a super sub if we're up in the second half. I love Enzo but imo he's been the weakest of our midfield 3 this season and if he's sorta injured already I don't really want to risk anything. We can manage without him. (Hoping Carney gets more minutes that way). Credit to Enzo for playing with an injury for so long, and I totally understand it if he wants to be available for the rest of the season but I wouldn't want to strain him any more. He can take the surgery right now or right after the City game. Or stay available if he really wants to but unless someone important gets injured we'll manage without him.

To be totally honest Yan with Gallagher in the double pivot (preseason), he was good but like Caicedo, he was paired with Enzo if you remember. Whenever Gallagher played with Santos both looked solid. Enzo is a very talented unique player, but his ball recovery and pace really shows a weak spot, that leaves us open which causes troubles for whoever is partnered since they try to pick up the pieces and when it goes wrong everyone blames them and not Enzo. I did say the midfield pairing was shambolic pairing, the question is are we using build up play from the back or long balls cutting the lines, and that is where the problem lies. Enzo as a sole 6 with Gallagher and Caicedo as 8s would be the only option with Enzo profile.

People don’t want to admit it but we overpaid massively for the 3rd best midfielder in that argentine side and bought into the hype for no reason. Remember the media ranting and raving about amabrat too? Now look at him. People get swayed by the media way too much. It was clear MacAllister, De Paul, then Enzo, but the tournament hyped him up now here we are. Gallagher will be great in the double pivot and honestly can even develop into a great number 6 but just needs reps there. Everyone thrashes him when he plays bad but he’s never been allowed to consistently play in his best position. Which I believe is 8 or 6, definitely not a 10. I would actually lean more into the 6 role bc he’s tackling and anticipation is the best in our midfield. You let him just cover the back line we would be so much more stable. Plus his pass accuracy and ball retention have been off the charts this season

We have good players to cover the deeper double #6 pivot, Caicedo is a bolt in, i think Gallagher/Enzo/Lavia and even Reece James/Trev can all play that role. I dont want them advanced. Mudryk plays better when Chilly isnt bombing into his space, thats where Poch needs to improve. Mudryks best games have been either with a deeper LB or in #10 role. Formation and tactics dont suit Mudryks strengths. Still offers so much

My god this stan attitude for Gallagher is sickening. We played good because we had a person who was playing in the 10 role has a footballing brain. He knows when to push up and when to lay back. That is the reason Caicedo and Gallagher looked good there was an extra body close to them in the mid who when we win the ball back he can turn around and attack. Gallagher as a to is always chasing the ball and the middle is always open making Enzo have to push into the 10 role and leave Caicedo always out numbered.

Drop Enzo for Man city game and allow him to go for an operation. Allow the partnership of midfield players who played in the Everton game to grow to fruition. I always,in my opinion, feel Enzo plays much better and wiyh conviction when playing for Argentina than playing for Chelsea.

I have always been a fan of Mudryk believing there’s a player there somewhere. Just needs time. But against Everton I was very frustrated with him. When we signed Werner a few years back we expected goals,goals and goals but it never happened. Inspite of this the fans loved him. Why? Because he gave 100% in every game. He ran back, he chased players down, he tackled he was always involved. Mudryk wanders around like a lost sheep sometimes. He needs to get more involved in games and he would get more fans on his side.

Personally I think the biggest problem with Caicedo is Enzo. Enzo operates too many of the same positions as him and when he plays with Conor in the double pivot, he will drop deep and let Conor push on while with Enzo they both sit deep. However this why I think we should switch from 4231 to 433 with 2 8’s n a 6. Think Caicedo would look a lot better as a lone 6 and Conor would be in his best position then we could really see what Enzo is truly like

I've said it before, but Enzo and Caicedo are like Lampard and Gerrard. Individually brilliant, but seemingly impossible to play together. For the first time Caicedo bossed the midfield. Hardly a mistake. Numerous amazing challenges. Back to his Brighton best. Why? Seems obvious to me.

I simply don't understand what some of you are saying about Caicedo. He's been excellent for the last 5 games or so, and was building up to that with 5 solid games before. Sure he gave the ball away that cost us, but his overall play has been strong. He's in the right areas at the right time, he's nicking the ball off defenders right and left. I'm actually very pleased with his progression-:he's going to be just what we thought he would be, just chill.

people *think* moises caicedo have been playing poorly/average all season but in reality he has been brilliant aside from the very few mistakes that he makes, which end up overshadowing his perfromances. unfortunatately, the mistakes he makes tend to lead to opposition goals which makes people *think* his entire performance was shite. i encourage all chelsea fans to zoom out and look at the big picture... moi is gonna be killer when playing in front of 2 consistent, strong center halfs.
