Jackson has really stepped up. We should still have another striker though. He'll inevitably leave for AFCON next year, and he'll also need rest sometimes. He runs a lot, and that's punishing. GK and CB, definitely.

In regards to centerback I'm here to spread some Tomas Aurajo propaganda. Yes, T. AURAJO from benfica, not R. Aurajo from barcelona. I've watched him pretty much every minute this season for both club and country and I am so sold on him as the next world class defender. He's 22 now, first proper season starting for benfica as he has totally replaced high profile talent Antinio Silva in the starting lineup. T. Aurajo has everything, faster in short and in long distances than anyone on the pitch, even though he looks a bit skinny he ALWAYS bullies big attackers off the ball with good body stregth and inteligence, he's more agile than fullbacks even though he's 190cm and is ELITE at stepping out and defending wide areas. He's a true leader always directing the game and players around him with his voice and arms. With all that said you'd ask for his weakness, maybe on the ball? No, just look at his numbers, both numbers and eye test suggest he is AN ELITE ball carrier and passer off the ball. He has 0 errors leading to a shot, for his CAREER, read that again. But he's not just playing simple, his numbers suggest he creates so much for his team through composed and accurate dribbling and intelligent passes. I would love him at Chelsea and he would be perfect for us, at right back or at centrebaxk playing as the farthest RCB in a back 3 in possession or even being that CB that steps up into midfield next to caicedo, I would be so happy if this happened at chelsea

I doubt the rumours are true, but if they are do we never learn? This screams Schevchenko all over again. We’ll buy the expensive striker who will ultimately flop and the (relatively) less expensive striker will continue to be the main guy (that’s if Jackson is willing to stay after being relegated to the bench - Drogba very nearly left a couple of times because we kept trying to replace him). Chelsea and expensive top strikers just do not work out, and unlike in 2017 or 2021 we don’t need a new striker because we have a pretty good one already. Whilst in the summer I was sceptical about the club’s approach of looking to buy a younger understudy to Jackson, and whilst I would prefer a Giroud-style older understudy to help complement Jackson, if we’re in the market for a striker it needs to be a Duran/Delap profile in terms of where they are in their career, rather than a Gyokeres or Isak.

Nkunku has only been afforded 163 mins in PL and he's scored 1 goal. Whereas Jackson is scoring every 138 mins while playing regularly. Outside PL Nkunku has scored 9 goals in 7 matches he played for us. You and other Jackson fans are simply making stuff up to justify Nkunku's lack of game time. Nkunku should have been coming on a lot earlier in many games. Let's be honest and admit that Maresca hasn't been fair to Nkunku at all.

We won’t get Omorodion again for the price that we want and neither does he fit what we want exactly. Chelsea will want two very capable strikers. It’s likely that we will get rid of Nkunku come the summer and replace him with a striker. All that said I don’t fully believe the Gyokeres links.

If Chelsea are going to be in the Champions League next year with 1 larger squad, instead of an “A” team and “B” team then I think it should look something like this: CF-Jackson, RW/CAM-Palmer, RW-Madueke, LW/RW-Neto, CM-Caicedo, CM-Enzo, LB-Cucurella, CB-Colwill, CB-Fofana, RB-James, RB/LB-Gusto, CB-Tosin, LB/CB/CM-Veiga, CM-Lavia, RW/CAM-Estevao, LW/CAM-Felix + new rotation striker. Thats 17 players for the 10 outfield spots. Enough depth to have some rotation for cup games and cover injuries or suspension but not so much that there is a full “B” team.

I’m just watching Gyokares against Arsenal and my honest assessment is he will struggle against English teams , don’t tell me about Man City cause he’s hatrick consisted of two penalties and city been getting slapped up a lot lately . Gyokares doesn’t offer any runs or passing options when he’s teammates have the ball on the wings or in midfield , he’s very static , he doesn’t contribute to the build up of attack , he can’t take on a defender 1v1 , he lost the ball each time and didn’t do well with finding his teammates when he was able to get the ball out . If you watch the Portuguese league you’ll understand that there’s a lot of space for strikers to shine , English sides usually slap up Portuguese sides , their league doesn’t translate to our at all . For the money he will be going for it makes no sense buying him because all the negatives I listed are strengths for jackson and that’s why he works for us . Gyokares would be a waste of money , cause we’d be buying him to occupy the bench , he won’t offer half as much industry Jackson offers , Jackson has a higher ceiling . If we are going for a striker it’s either we get a good second option striker to compete with Jackson at a good price , or if they feel Jackson isn’t enough and are willing to spend Gyokares money , they might as well get Osihmen , his release clause is cheaper and Osihmen has dominated in more than one league plus he’s strong so he can bully or face English teams defence and not get shrugged off as easily , plus Osihmen knows how to take on players 1v1 , he can also build up play with attackers , the only problem is if he comes it’s going to be tough for Jackson , cause as we’ve seen , Neto who I think will eventually get more minutes than Madueke is very good at his distribution and he’s instinct is to cross it looking for a header and we all know Osihmen is superior in that department , I think playing two strikers could also work especially against teams we will play more counter attack against since Jackson loves running the channels also Jackson comes in midfield to collect balls and has good link up play so he can give Osihmen the key role of being a target man so it can work and eventually we can sell Osihmen and make a profit on him if let’s say Jackson becomes Drogba level In the years to come . Gyokares on the other hand will be too expensive and with what I’ve seen it will turn into a Lukaku situation , we will make a loss on him and he won’t make our team any better .

As an individual player I like Gyokeres (yes watched some full 90s). Reminds me a bit of Costa. In all honesty though, relative to likes of Osimhen or Omorodion, I feel Gyokeres is too similar to Jackson style wise. Personally would prefer someone more aerially dominant. I wouldn't complain if we sign him, but if there's a choice I'm of the opinion we need someone more distinct to Jackson.
