Signing Kelleher would make no sense at this juncture. We already have Penders, Slonina, Jorgensen, Petrovic, and Sanchez who on paper could start for Chelsea and don't forget Kepa isn't off our books just yet. We need to trim those options before adding to it so I don't know if I would buy this rumour. Mudryk would start for lower clubs because he still offers a lot despite not always being impactful goal scoring wise. I am in love with the new background and I finally got to join the membership family.

Think Maresca would try your Félix/Nkunku lineup, just with the one change. Reece is strong but the left seems a bit weak. Dropping Sancho for Neto left and Noni right gives you wingers with more speed and maybe, more defensive “will”. Jackson Neto Felix Cole Mads Cucu Caicedo Colwill Fofana Reece. Might be more balanced to try the 2 8/10’s, it helps the left more, meaning Cucurella isn’t full time helping Colwill leaving Caicedo on an island in midfield. Also Colwill is much more comfortable central than wide. Another option is Cucurella LCB . Jackson Sanch Felix Cole Neto Caicedo Reece Cucu Colwill Fofana. If it were prime Reece, that also feels more comfortable and balanced Colwill in his best spot The left has Cucurella and Caicedo locked defensively whilst Sancho/Felix and drop progress, so the left is pretty mint for creativity as well. Reece Fofana and Neto a willing back tracker with speed is defensively sound but also decent progressively. (Reece, Neto occasionally dropping, Fofana the odd storming run to break lines with Reece as his cover. Creativity/dropping from Palmer/Neto. Centrally you have Colwill, a box of Caicedo (peak) Reece Felix Palmer behind Jackson. Could see TT trying that formation out for a bit. Imagine the TAA midfielder England experiment but with Reece (prime, fit healthy and confident) instead.

I would love the formation you showed. I think that is a great way to set up vs slightly weaker opposition, and gives 2 avenues for Felix to come in as a sub (Fernandez OR Palmer) depending on how the match is going, and the same actually applies to Nkunku, I think (for Jackson or Palmer maybe?). I'm not counting the wings as avenues for these because we have so many wingers that most sub appearances would likely need to be through the middle.

I think kelleher would be quality for chelsea he's been one of the best if not the best keeper In the league this season with Allison being out injured so often. I might be slightly biased being from ireland 🇮🇪 but I think for 35 million he's a huge improvement on what we have and he's very effective with his feet, reflexes and positioning.

Chelsea GK of the future is the Belgium Penders who comes in next yr from Genk. People keep forgetting Chelsea have pre-bought Penders, Estevao and Paez for next summer. We aren’t buying any more GK’s or Wingers. Next transfer windows are still about cleaning house - Kepa, Sterling, Chaloba, Broja, Chilwell and Chukwuemeka all need to find homes away from the bridge.

Mudryk has more than twice as many goals and assists than Noni. I’d sooner sell Noni and start Neto on Right wing with Sancho able to deputise there too until Estavao and Paez arrive. I’d be reluctant to sell Mudryk. Maybe a loan move but he does more for the team that people don’t seem to notice.

The problem, I think (what do I know), with Mudryk is tactics. He just doesn't seem to know where to be. Either he's underthinking it or more probably overthinking it. He doesn't take up the best positions, but when he ends up in lucky places he can be amazing. Would a loan help him in this, or further make a mess of things?

I wouldn't sign Kelleher. He has some good moments but isn't good enough to our number 1. I'm not sure he's much better than what we have and i would rather get a better upgrade in the keeper department, instead of buying potentially good keepers. We have plenty of those. We could have signed Diogo Costa for the money we spent on Petrovic, Sanchez and Jorgensen (combined total of 58 - 59million). I'd rather sign Chevalier from Lille who's soon to be French #1 if we aren't going for Diogo Costa.
