Every team has a squad, the difference is Chelsea use the entire squad plus academy players! Other teams use the same 14 - 16 players.

We only rotate our wingers brother. Defensively the only position that is rotated is RB because we got injuries. Caicedo always starts, same with Palmer and Jackson. Conference league is way below our squad and thats why we make 11 changes there. Its not a bad thing to have 14-16 players that will play most games, thats how it always worked.

When we were signing players, everyone laughed and mocked us. Now look how the schedule is stretching every team thin. Maresca is able to select a completely different team for the Premier League and a different one for the Conference league. This keeps players fresh all the time. I'm not a big fan of Pepe but he's completely right. The football schedule is crazy these days. I hope the players stage some form of strike to not play since they're at a higher risk of getting injured and even retiring at a young age due to this insane schedule.

He didn't mistreat them. They wanted to go because of game time. Well Alvarez was more he wanted to go back to Spain but Pep has always said if a player wants to go they can go. Some people look back and say "how could this team let him go?". Palmer wanted more game and Pep couldn't give him that guarantee plus they rejected his request to go on loan. Palmer backed himself and now look at him but at the same time, no one thought Palmer would be as good as he is. It was the same Salah and KDB when they were at Chelsea. The 1st team was set, both wanted more mins but there were established players ahead of them. Fact is 95% of the time, when a club let's a player go, it was the right thing as they weren't at the level required. The Palmer, KDBs etc...that's so incredibly rare.

Maresca knows how to use his players for different competition. It's just that Chelsea doesn't have any injuries this season as of yet! Also the manager should be given credit to use the players in their desired positions and roles! If they have some 4-5 injuries then we could see how they perform, but we all have to agree that this is the best phase for Chelsea in the past few years!

Always talking about his team being the best... Of course man city were really good in the past 3,4 seasons however the same goes to Man utd, Chelsea etc where they were really dominating english football several seasons ago and now they are undergoing a process of change whereby things are not as stable as back then. I think man city era is slowly coming to an end & pep needs to be humble because one team cannot dominate forever... 4,5 years maximum is where a team can dominate, given the age etc... Man city players are mostly in their early 30's etc which indicates, their prime time is almost coming to an end. We must give credit to other clubs as well who are on the road to progress. It doesn't mean other clubs would always be behind Man city... Never. Other clubs are also progressing & is almost catching Man City. Stay humble & give credit to others where it's due.
