I just moved to NYC at the beginning of July. I used your past videos on moving to NYC to help navigate the crazy world of apartment hunting in the city. They were really helpful. As a late 30-something (about to push 40) it was really helpful to have your realistic, down to earth point of view. I am actually working on creating my own channel and I definitely need to give a shout out to you and a few others for inspiring that. My focus is going to be on people chasing their dreams late in life, since I got accepted to acting school I'm going to be in NYC for at least 2yrs. Definitely giving you a shout out!!

Oh Chelsea ❤ I have the exact same issue with anxiety and sleep and it has hindered my running sessions in the past. If I may offer some advice that helped me is to assume AND embrace that you will 100% have bad running sessions (ones where you just don't have the energy). You're just marking them done, by showing up period, even if it's walking half of them. Usually a running calendar is packed enough to allow for missed sessions or subpar sesh. Also, when you can't sleep, GET OUT OF BED. I know you probably know all this and I'm guilty for not following this advice a lot of the time but I've been practicing not staying stuck in the insomnia mind loop. For instance, I turn on a bedside table light, watch some asmr videos (I love asmtwix), I bought a eye massager and practice breathing at the same time to clear my mind. I also have a back massager that I use lying down with the belt massager below my knees and it helps me sleep. And speaking of unsolicited advice from a fellow 30 sthg runner (not so much right now because I got injured and depression at the same time), give your boobs some love because that sports bra doesn't seem super strong in terms of support. Try Anita Active Bras, they're 🦾 - nothing moves and super soft (just be aware that if you have eternally pointy nips and are self conscious about it and are used to paded bras, these don't have it, I make it work with dark colors). Allez courage !

There’s nothing more I love than a hot cup of tea when the max weather outside is 68, is that just me? I recently-ish moved to MN and I feel like I should be relishing every moment of the sunshine instead of dreaming of those 4:30pm sunsets. Thank you again for the wonderful video! See taking you suggestions already! I checked out Daphne's vlog and subscribed mentioning it that you mentioned her. Another addition to "my village" of people whose vlogs will help me make my dream come true. I told her, this will be my 73 move. I'm like a nomad, but I've got the moving thing down to a science. But these crossing an ocean moves are a logistical pain in the ass. I came to Oahu with 5 big suit cases and immediately put everything but a carry on into storage. It made it a lot easier. But I've acquired a lot of nice things, so downsizing begins well in advance. It's my least favorite part, then there's the shipping ugh! Chaos equals life. You are doing great! And congratulations on the delegating to a management team! I am so happy for you, really, you are an Entrepreneur and I've been self employed since the dark ages, when I was 28. Smart women know when to ask for assistance. And personally getting to the point where you need help, housekeeper, nanny, employees, is such a good feeling. And yeah you on the fund raising!!!

Hi Chelsea!! I also like to carb load on pasta the night before a run. I have a recipe to share with you that is SUPER tasty and very simple! I usually hate anchovies when they are stand alone but when they are served like this they just provide a great burst of salty umami. In a frying pan add: -1 1/2 tablespoons of olive oil -6 anchovies (jarred in oil) finely chopped -Fry for about 3-5 mins until the anchovies melt down into the oil -Add 1 garlic clove crushed and fry this for a bit -Add some chilli flakes -Boil spaghetti (half a pack maybe?) -Strain and add the spaghetti to the pan -Toss through the tasty oil. -Add pepper to taste. DONE! Mmmm tasty Carbs! 😍

Pro tip for the fruit fly / gnat problem! Pour a bit of bleach down the drains & cover them before going to bed. (Small glass or ramekin works.) Keep up with this & the home made traps in the meantime & it’ll be greatly reduced… eventually gone. While a bit of “messy apt” isn’t the root cause, it helps keeping the kitchen clean & trash covered / taken out. It happens - the little buggers sometime come in with produce. Can’t be helped really 🤷🏻♀️ Hope this helps! My building’s pest control guy told me this & it’s helped immensely. ❤

Hi, Chelsea. I loved your sobriety series, where you talked about the pros and cons of such an experiment, like saving money, but also how it changed your socializing! I wondered if you would want to film something similar where you hire someone to help clean and/or do your laundry once or twice a week, if budget allows. I know it's a luxury, but it also might be an interesting experiment to see what emotions "buying back some time" brings up for you, or if it's actually helpful or worth it. Just a little idea; feel free to disregard! 😄

How do you remain calm? I have seen your videos and I know that its a fucking struggle some days. I've been living on a diferent city for 6 months or so, I like the city, I can see myself living here for a while if that matters. It's just that nothing is clicking, not work, not meeting new people to see if something happens, I've been feeling bad cause of being sick that I kind of relate to stress from the other two areas... I mean... fuck. Thanks for sharing your videos, you make them as raw as possible so I aprecciate that as someone that is struggling with life and making sense of himself and everything around me (at leas trying to). Fruit flies...well, I saw that banana. I don't allow bananas in the house in the summer. I make sure all the soft skinned fruit is in the fridge. If I want to ripen a peach, say, I wrap it in a cotton kitchen towel and leave it out for a couple of days. But the real culprit has definitely been bananas.
