Most number of passes (493) with a pass accuracy of 93%. 5 missed penalties in a career of 11 years. Played a central role in helping Chelsea win the UCL and Italy winning the euros. Yes, this guy. Maybe not as deserving of the ballon d'Or according to Messi and lewandowski fans, who clearly are either overlooking or unaware of his stats, but we know what he has done for us.

Hes still 2nd or 3rd in the ballon dor votings despite his only major contribution being in 5 games in the CL. That isnt underrated. The only possible way hes underrated is that hes not played to his full potential for france. Hes played as a dm which is not his ideal position
