This one is honest and real. I still am having a real hard time losing my last twenty pounds at 68 years old but I can trust Chelsea Mae. Brilliant advice as always Chelsea, but you are young and active so you can eat more, a lot more! If I ate such big meals (big bowl of oats, pasta, etc.) I'd be huge! Lovely mid-life ladies and cool older ladies need fewer calories, for example I am 58 and very petite, I don't count calories but last week I checked my daily calorie requirement with the Mayo Clinic free online counter and I need just 1300 a day (ouch!). I suspected this and I eat more which is why I recently put on a few lbs (which will take months to lose). I've been exercising less due to laziness and freezing weather in the UK so I need to get back into the good habits and nip this in the bud as just a few extra lbs makes me look bloated and uncomfortable in my fitted clothes. I try to stay positive and grateful for what I've got and what I've achieved so far, focus on the good things, friends, companion animals, supportive people around me, wildlife and nature

Agree, but being kind to yourself and not punishing yourself also means getting back on track straight away, if you fall off track, make sure it's just once and not a habit that you associate with being stressed out and maybe feeling a little sorry for yourself. You'll feel grown-up and amazing if you get back into your healthy eating (and exercising) immediately - don't skip twice and don't have trigger foods around you! Good luck and very best wishes

Chels, do you still count calories? I feel like i’ve been trying so much to mantain a healthy weight but im stuck into this yoyo cycle and I cant get out of there, seems like calorie counting is the only thing that works for me but im exhausted :( Everytime I reach my goal weight and I start to increase my calories (because I have a big appetite I move a lot 😅) I start gaining weight again, and I eat the same things just bigger portions Do you have any tips? This calorie counting thing just got me into binging so bad I feel so frustrated with me right now 😢

I chopped my hair twice in my life and won't do it again. Long hair can be very flattering to a woman's face and can detract from less beautiful features if like me you are not drop-dead gorgeous. In my case it was at times of great stress and burn-out and a cry for help. I looked older and frumpy as a result as short hair looks very old on me. And short hair is extremely high maintenance so don't be fooled into thinking it's an easy, inexpensive style, it is not, and it's also very inflexible as you can't tie it back and it's always in your face, I needed styling products too which I'd never had to use before and I don't use now my hair has grown back (it took years!). I loved your long hair and I thought it was one of your very best features, this short cut actually looks strangely old-fashioned but I hope you are happy with it and I hope my comment does not offend you.
