P3d3 can exist in octahedral and trigonal antiprismatic geometry. In octahedral p3d3, the non axial d orbitals are used (i.e px,py,pz, dxy,dyz,dzx) and one of the famous example of octahedral p3d3 is [TeCl6]-3. And p3d3 gemetry having trigonal antiprismatic is rearest I know only one example of this category and i.e when hexadentate 1,4,7- tris ( 2-mercaptoethyl)-1,4,7- triazacyclononane binds Fe(III) to afford a trigonal antiprimatic structure with d orbital(dxz,dyz and the third one is I'm not sure but after analysing the geometry deeply it seems to me that the third one is dy2-z2)
@vivekagrahari4254 жыл бұрын
But after analysing the splitting it should be dz2 because this is combination of dz2-x2 and dx2-y2 so in TAP dxz,dyz,dz2 is used
