Chemical Biological Radiological and Nuclear Detection and Inspection Robot CBRN Testing

Our focus at Australian Droid and Robot is to keep personnel safe by separating them from hazardous environments. We call this safety by separation.
Our latest project involves the integration of Chemical, Biological, Radiation and Nuclear detection with gas detection on our Explora XL platform.
The robot is our standard fully suspended 8 wheel drive platform with traction control.
The custom fit out for this job included:
High definition 360 degree zoom camera
AP2C Chemical biological radioactive nuclear detector
Multi rae gas detector
Articulated robot sensing arm with camera
High intensity Lights
All control and sensor data is available over an ethernet connection which means, if you have low enough latency, you can operate this robot from anywhere in the world. This is a sovereign Australian capability, designed and built in Brisbane.
The rest of the video will show how the Explora navigates through a obstacle course to find a hazardous chemical spill where it will use the deployable arm to sniff and identify the chemical with the integrated CBRN and Gas sensors.
