I just realized there might be a deeper meaning to the song than just chemistry and combat robots. You see, Acid Man tries several times to throw shade at Mega Man with lines like "I’m fit to fight , you’ll end up dead", "I‘m built to fly , you’re made to crawl", "and I, prince of the poisonous pools , will dissolve you to dust if you make a move". At first it would seem he's just trying to discourage his opponent, until I considered several other elements of the song. "Perfect blend, a caustic kiss" "I the savant, you a solvent" These lyrics seem to be making some pun that compares chemistry, as in the field of science, to chemistry, as in the expression for compatibility in romance. "You face the finest in Chemical composite I am your opposite" Opposites attract, after all. And that isn't always a good thing. "Taste of the acid corroding your tongue Feel your paint and silicone coming undone" "Will dissolve you to dust if you Make a move" "Hydrochloric acid rises With intent to oxidize its Molecules in hungry searching For a balance in submerging" "Hydrofluoric acid rises With intent to terrorize its Fragile shell comes crashing down My measurements and ion counting" "Once the Mixture finds its mark it Tears it’s victim all apart the Indiscrimination of this Perfect blend, a caustic kiss" "With the pH dropping, your soul will decay" These ones seem to associate chemical corrosion with physical and emotional exhaustion. Essentially, my idea is that the song is a metaphor for a toxic relationship. And considering the one-sided nature of the song, with how he threatens that the chemicals will melt you down over and over, it seems to represent an abusive relationship in particular. "And I, prince of the poisonous pools Will dissolve you to dust if you Make a move" "I am synthetica Like aqua regia my mind Is contaminated by Urges destructive of No equilibrium" Sometimes, a person is able to realize their behavior is toxic and admit to it. "I the savant, you a solvent Hoping I’m at all absolvent Think yourself a noble metal Such revolting sentimental" Absolvent means being forgiven. Sometimes a person who realizes they're toxic is guilty and wants to be forgiven. If you do forgive them, they might continue to be toxic, since old habits die hard. But if you don't forgive them, they might fall into self-loathing about it, which leads to more toxicity. You lose no matter what you do about it. "Give me a reaction" Clingy attention seeker. "With intent to oxidize its Molecules in hungry searching For a balance in submerging" Desperate. Dependent.

Also wanted to mentioned, nearing the end of the song, it mentions the other thinking of themselves as a ‘noble metal’, which is a real term that refers to a group of metals including gold and platinum, ie, valuables. Not only this, but the singer calls themselves ‘Aqua Regia’ which translates to ‘Royal Water’. It is a mix of nitric and hydrochloric acids that specifically dissolves the noble metals.
