Great Pyrenees or Pyrenees Mountain dogs are Nocturnal. This means that they are up most of the night. They are also Livestock Guardian dogs. They bark to scare off predators. It is difficult to have them in Cities and confined like this. A Lady loved her Pyrenees so much that she knew it wasn't fair to keep him confined. She gave him to us and we cherish him. We live in the country and he barks all night and guards my lawn furniture! Finnigan is truly happy now.

@@HAYAOLEONE Hers was! Ours were guardian dogs for our 600 ewes plus lambs (up to 1200 to 1400 some years). Never lost a sheep or lamb to predators!!!

Gma needs a small dog who enjoys being at home. This dog is an energetic dog who wishes to have a task to do daily. I respect her taking care of him nonetheless. I wish them both happiness. 🙂

That still isn't enough exercise for such a large dog and I doubt that Grandma is strong enough to walk him.

Why do so many of the folks in these videos have their dogs always tethered? Many times they are on a short leash. Dogs are social creatures and like to be with people. TBH, I think it is cruel to have a dog just chained or leashed up. What kind of life is that? A Great Pyrenees dog which is what this doggie is, is a working dog and needs to be out on a farm protecting sheep or other livestock and not on a leash going the length of the house.

J'ai sais qu'ils ont pas la même conscience/approche en Corée que en France vis à vis du bien être animal... mais un patou des Pyrénées est un chien actif qui a besoin d'espace et de promenades pour ce défouler... surtout les jeunes de 8 mois !!

책임감없는것들이 저 큰 개를 사놓고는 시골산다는 이유하나로 혼자 거동도 불편한 할머니한테 저 큰개를 맡겨버리다니 진짜 무책임하고 한심하다. 저 코딱지만한 마당에 갇혀있는개가 불쌍하다. 저 할머니가 개를 산책을 시킬수있길 하겠나 대책없는 인간들손에 동물들이 맡겨지는걸 법으로 막아야한다.

You right in one thing she is to old, and her health and energie is not for a dog like that but she tries, maybe if something happens to the lady because of age he gets adopted by someone who can give him the space and attention he needs

Because he is a Great Pyrenees he needs a big plot of land to roam otherwise he will be restless I would advise regular walks from someone who has stamina. Not Grandma maybe whoever is recording this clip could do it if not I would really consider letting someone else who has a big plot of land own the dog because if youleave the dog in this small environment he will suffer mental as well as get very large even obese. Im not trying to be mean im just thinking about the dogs well being.

Es un hermoso y buen perro lleno de energia y no puede estar con correa y en un lugar tan chico. Va a sufrir el perro y la abuela que no va a poder con el. La gente deberia informarse sobre las caracteristicas de un perro de raza antes de adoptarlo, cada uno tiene necesidades diferentes, sino, adoptar un perrito que sea de la calle, chiquito. Igual, ningun perro debe estar atado, tienen que socializar con otros perros y ser parte de la familia, entrar y salir de la casa, no estar confinado en un sitio como un presidiario.

But I have to say this dog is not suitable for granma it needs space and someone who goes for a walk or can let him swim, does dogs aren't made for confined small spaces.

Large dogs, not to mention puppies, need loads of room to move about, also need tons of exercise. Wrong breed for elders!

It's all cute when you show it like that. But why does she have a stick? I hope dog doesn't get beated when cameras are off. Older people have their 'old school' ways of teaching so it would be nice to also teach society that beating/spanking is not the way to correct dogs behaviour. What's more, this dog isn't quite suitable for old person. It needs a lot of activity to be worn out so then he wouldn't bark all day and obviously with her it won't get that as he is leashed (at least not chained but whats the difference when it spends all day like that). If she treated him like grandson she wouldn't leash him outside like that. I just wonder who got that brilliant idea to let her adopt such a big boi!?

A chaque fois que je vois des vidéos sur cette chaîne je vois des animaux attachés toute la journée ça me dégoûte. Qui pourrait vivre attaché ne serait ce que 5minutes c'est pas normal. Continuer de les nourrir et les soigner mais arrêter de les enchaîner c'est insupportable
