colloidal silica Lithium silicate also leaves deposits if it is overapplied. Colloidal silica is 99.5 percent pure silica, so residual deposits are not an issue.

What if the concrete is already painted?

It'll need to be stripped chemically or mechanically as the densifier will not penetrate the paint to get to the concrete.
